What I’m Reading This Weekend (10) #FridayReads

*Check me out on Cafepress and Etsy.
Gift cards are how I keep track of how much I spend on books a month. If I added $20 to my gift card, once that balance is gone, I am done buying books for the month.
If an Amazon link is in a post, it is an affiliate link. Other relationships will be stated if there is one.
If you have shopping to do on Amazon, click on their logo below. It won't charge you anything, but it helps keep this site up and running and pays for the giveaways I do here and on my Facebook page. Thank you!

I’m so proud of myself, I actually made it through all my Friday Reads last weekend/early this week.  I think I’m on my 5th or 6th book this week since Monday.  Yesterday I started this one –

FIVE New Adult novels filled with men with a passion for the women they can’t live without.

I’ve already read Dear Rockstar by Emme Rollings, my review is here. I’ve also read Dance For Me by Helen Newbury. They are both favorite books of mine. Dear Rockstar is the reason I joined Emme’s street team.  Even though, I’m on her team and I’ve read 2 of the books, I bought this box set myself.  There 3 more books in there I haven’t read.  My theory is that if Dear Rockstar and Dance For Me were absolutely awesome, the other books in this set should be too. I’m on Random Acts of Crazy right now, and Julia Kent had me from the first or second page with the Brad Pitt reference.

You can grab the New Adult Box Set on Amazon for 99 cents right now.

Next up are two books that I’m excited to review, I reached out to the tour host and asked if I could be involved these look so great. I just revealed the cover today for one of them. Make sure you head to that post to win an ARC!

Mid Life Love by Whitney Gracia Williams

If you’d asked me what love was two years ago, I probably would’ve said, ‘It’s this amazing feeling that obsesses and possesses you; it’s what me and my husband currently have.’ If you ask me that same question today, I’ll say, ‘Please get the hell out of my face.’
Claire Gracen’s life is picture perfect. Her career as a marketing director is on the brink of being legendary, and her marriage to her high school sweetheart has never been stronger. No, wait. It has. It used to be amazing and fulfilling, but one day Claire realizes that she’s been living a lie and her best friend and husband have committed the ultimate betrayal.
Broken and depressed, Claire is in need of something new–new city, new job, new friends.
When she happens to attract the interest of the sexiest man she’s ever met, a man significantly younger than her, she immediately turns him down–only to later discover that this man is Jonathan Statham, self-made billionaire and CEO of Statham Industries. Her boss.
Jonathan Statham is unlike any man she’s met before. He’s used to getting whatever he wants–whenever he wants, and he isn’t about to take no for an answer.
Sexy, unpredictable, and charmingly clever, Mid Life Love is a story that will captivate you, entertain you, and force you to fall deeply in love with the characters.
For Mature Audiences

Mid Life Love by Whitney Gracia Williams

If you ask me if Jonathan Statham makes me happy, I’ll say ‘Absolutely. He’s the man of my dreams and I can’t wait to marry him.’ If you ask me why my ex-husband Ryan is currently one inch away from me—staring into my eyes and pressing his hand against my cheek, I’ll say, ‘I have no f*cking idea…’ Claire Gracen finally has the life she’s always wanted: A career she loves, a man who’s willing to do any and everything for her, and friends that show her the true meaning of the word ‘friendship.’ As she and Jonathan prepare to make the ultimate commitment to one another and plan the wedding of her dreams, she quickly realizes that the hurtful past she left behind in Pittsburgh is a lot closer than she thought. Sexy, unpredictable, and as charmingly clever as ‘Mid Life Love,’ ‘At Last’ will captivate you from the first page and never let you go. **This is a companion novel to Mid Life Love **

I know we aren’t supposed to judge a book by a cover, but those covers (and the title) are what drew me in. I think I’m at mid life aren’t I?  I’m 38.  If I lived to be 76 I would be at mid life right now. (I haven’t received Mid Life Love At Last, when I get it, I’ll start it. 🙂

And then, I’m just going to go on into next week so you know what is coming up for reviews:

Fated Truth by Tasha Gwartney

Living in a world never truly meant for her, Ella Reese has tried her whole life to fit into the mold her parents wanted, and not stand out in a small town where gossip reigned supreme. Despised for what she is, she will be lucky to make it through her senior year intact and spending time with her two best friends would be a major bonus. However, Fate intervenes and Ella suddenly finds herself thrust into an odyssey where she not only discovers she is a powerful Goddess Touched True Witch but a life mate has also been chosen for her. In love with her soul mate and reunited with a family who accepts her, Ella’s world falls apart when Fate deals her a horrific blow. As she travels the path Fate has set her on, she must uncover her true self or die trying.

You can preorder the paperback now or by the Kindle version when it comes out on September 10.  Tasha is doing a giveaway right now.  If you preorder it and drop your number in the rafflecopter, you are in the running to win a $25 gift certificate.  She is donating 50% of the proceeds from her first month’s sales to the St Jude Cancer Research Fascility.

I have read snippets of this that she has released here and there and it is really good so far.
