Gift cards are how I keep track of how much I spend on books a month. If I added $20 to my gift card, once that balance is gone, I am done buying books for the month.

Hey all! I cannot believe it is Friday again already. We are down to less than 2 weeks before school starts and we haven’t gone shopping for school supplies/clothes yet. I should do that today or tomorrow.
What has happened this week? Not a lot out of the ordinary. I picked up a new hobby.
That would be buying old pictures at Goodwill that someone just sloughed out of their life. How do you donate your pictures? It all started because one of my friends bought a picture at Goodwill and hung it in her house. Her husband found it amusing and posted about it. I saw it and giggled. Then I was at Goodwill and saw this and thought, they need a new home. So I brought them home and on Facebook we named them all. I decided I am going to decorate my office in old vintage pictures of people I don’t know, cuz I’m a tad weird like that.
My husband said no I’m not (which is totally saying Heather, take that idea and run with it) and that the picture is probably cursed and will kill me in my sleep. It’s been 2 days. I’m still alive, so I think they rather like it here vs the dusty wire rack at Goodwill where they passed over for pictures with inspirational quotes and stuff. 😀
In answer to your next question, no, I do not know how my husband puts up with me. 🙂
On to my reading list for this #FridayReads weekend.
I just started this one this morning finally! Yay! Selena is one of my favorite authors and I have been waiting to get a chance to read it.
Seven years ago, Juan Martinez lost everything—his only parent, his home, his life as he’d known it. Alone, lost, and desperate, he turned to the Reyes Hispanos—the RH—one of the most violent gangs in South Texas. But when you sell your soul to the devil, you pay a heavy price. Convicted of a drive-by shooting, Juan has served hard time. Finally out on parole, he wants to disappear—from the RH, from memories of all that he’s lost, and especially from the gorgeous woman who just showed up next door.
Beth Garcia grew up following after her older brother, David, and his best friend, Juan. She always dreamed of a day when she’d be old enough for Juan to look at her as someone other than David’s little sister. But he disappeared at seventeen, after his mother was deported, and Beth thought she’d lost him forever. When she finds him living at the halfway house next door, she knows he’s still the same guy inside. Determined to save him from himself and the RH, Beth sets out to prove that he didn’t commit the crime he was convicted of. But the path to absolution is dark, and even Beth may not be able to discover the real Juan.
Can a man with a damaged soul and a beautiful heart let a woman with fierce loyalty and unwavering love risk it all to save him? Or will his past bury them both this time?
Next up is another one I have been waiting for. Love Chelle Bliss and The Men Of Inked!
She’s about to become his – Mrs. Joseph Gallo.
All she wants is to be his, but his possessiveness days before the wedding has her questioning the reality of a happily ever after.
He’s not easy. He’s territorial and doesn’t share well with others.
City’s staking his claim, making Suzy his forever.
Their future teeters precariously on the cliff of matrimonial bliss.
Will their love survive his alpha nature or will it all unravel before she can say ‘I do’?
(I am so proud of myself, I am ahead on my reading calendar by almost a week. I doubled up books for a couple of days. Yay!)
Next up is this one:
An erotic tale of alien proportions…
Sophie Perez has never believed the stuff she reads online about possible life in space. Aliens are for the movies, for the weirdoes, and they most definitely are not real.
One night on the way home from a late shift at work, her car breaks down. Stranded on the side of a country road, with a dead cell phone, doesn’t seem like that big of a deal.
Until strange neon lights appear in the sky. She thinks it is her imagination.
When an inexplicable circular ship appears overhead, she can’t deny what’s clearly right in front of her. Especially when moments later, she’s taken onto the ship, a human hostage among those who are most definitely nothuman.
About to become a human guinea pig, possibly worse, the last thing she ever expects is to like the things these otherworldly beings subject her to. In fact, it is unlike anything she’s ever experienced.
Will Sophie find her way back to her planet, or will she beg to stay where her pleasure is literally out of this world?
And since couple of these are shorter, I am adding one more that I have started and have been fitting in between tours. I want to get this one finished because Once Bitten, Twice Shy is being released on Monday and I want to be ready for it when it drops.
Jeremy is a handsome millionaire with a deep, dark secret. He has a hollow life until Sasha shows up, quite literally on his doorstep in the middle of the night. At first the recluse pushes her away and fears telling her his secret, but fate has other plans. Plans that could include being bitten by love and mated for life. When he realizes what he’s done in a moment of passion, he pushes her away and tries to save her from the biggest danger of all, himself.
Sasha knows the mercurial man is nothing but trouble, but she’s lured in like a moth to a flame. As he shows he’s more than a hotheaded jerk, she can’t help but fall for him. When all his secrets come to light, she realizes the danger is much worse than anything she could imagine.
Things that go bump in the night aren’t real, until you suddenly find out they are…
Purchase Love At First Bite
Now for the books I have bought this week. I might be holding my breath because I don’t remember how many I bought. 😀 I looked. I didn’t go overly crazy. Hi. My name is Heather. I am a 1-click addict.
(The Bluegrass Series was 99 cents when I bought it.)
I also grabbed Scorpio Stinger MC – Ryder this week. It is free and goes with The Beginning.
And I have a few books on my wishlist that are 99 cents that I am wondering if any of you have read and if I should grab them? Let me know in the comments!
