Gift cards are how I keep track of how much I spend on books a month. If I added $20 to my gift card, once that balance is gone, I am done buying books for the month.

It is Friday! How are you all? I would say happy Friday, but my nerves are shot and I am not really in that happy mode today. Between something that happened last night (that I am not comfortable posting about online), Jordan driving in the rain for the first time in the rain with a driver’s ed instructor and not me, and Alyce having competition dance tryouts today and tomorrow (5 hours each day), my nerves are shot.
She was totally cool. Me, not so much.
hanging before tap started
tappity tappity tap
cousins trying out for the competition teams at the same time
All in all, between the things I was nervous about and the other crap that has flown, I am so beyond stressed out and covered in welts. Awesome.
We should get on to the books I am reading this weekend. #FridayReads
Cassandra Vera never ever broke the rules.
She’s also had a nonexistent social life since her best friend moved to Vegas. Armed with a new set of resolutions, the promise of a hot date, and her adoptive parents out of town, seventeen-year-old Cassandra agrees to a road trip, which is the perfect way to celebrate her birthday and ring in the New Year. After all, she’s headed to Vegas, the city where secrets are meant to stay hidden. Little does Cassandra know her past is buried there as well.
Cloaked in the shadows of the glitz and gaudy lights of Vegas lies a power struggle centuries old. One wrong step and Cassandra could destroy the delicate web of secrets. Now an enemy she never knew existed is after her, and the one boy who may be the missing piece to the puzzle — and her heart— is the one person she can’t afford to trust.

Next is a trio of books (I think they are novellas) in the shatterproof series. I am just going to put the first book and call it done. I have been trying to get this post up since this morning and life is still not working with me at almost 8 PM.
Everyone has secrets. No one has secrets like Watts.
Catherine Kolb has found the perfect diversion from her life of nearly complete seclusion: a virtually anonymous correspondence with a man she knows only as “Watts.” Intelligent, intriguing, and with an insatiable appetite for sex, his words begin to draw her out of her closely guarded world.
Watts insists on privacy. He has no choice. In the wrong hands, his secrets could get people killed.
But curiosity and lust prove stronger than reason and safety. A planned one-time encounter sets into motion a series of events that bring Catherine and Watts to the edge of ecstasy and the brink of peril.
Two very private people. One risky night. A shot at love and redemption.
Due to mature themes, this book is recommended for readers 18+.

I am going to see if I can just copy and past the next one from my blog so I don’t have to fight my computer with images.

Now these ones, I want opinions on. Have you read them? Should I buy them? They are on sale for 99 cents each and I keep thinking I should grab them. They have been 99 cents for awhile and I am thinking I should be quick if I am going to buy them.
