What I’m Reading This Weekend #FridayReads (37)

*Check me out on Cafepress and Etsy.
Gift cards are how I keep track of how much I spend on books a month. If I added $20 to my gift card, once that balance is gone, I am done buying books for the month.
If an Amazon link is in a post, it is an affiliate link. Other relationships will be stated if there is one.
If you have shopping to do on Amazon, click on their logo below. It won't charge you anything, but it helps keep this site up and running and pays for the giveaways I do here and on my Facebook page. Thank you!

Morning all!  How are you this fine Friday morning.

Did that sound chipper enough?  So not a morning person.  Pass the coffee please, in fact let me just bathe in it this morning.

This may be a whole pot type of morning.  It is my own fault.  See, unless you know me really well and are like 1 of 3 people that I tell everything to, I project this I can handle everything attitude.  3 soccer practices in one night at the same times but different places?  Of course, I am supermom. Teenager is adjusting to a new medicine and did something incredibly stupid at school while the last traces of the old medicine were still in the system.  Tough love man, I’m good.  Checking account getting close to empty when something unexpected comes up?  I am a good little wife with faith that my husband will make it work, he always does eventually.  Family member and their significant other trashes you all over Facebook (without using your name of course) and to family members on Easter, twisting words, and straight up lying simply because you had a different opinion on a sensitive subject than they did and you dared to speak it?  No problem.  I got this.  With a smile on my face. While I disown the family member who for my entire life seems to think it is ok to treat every one around them like crap while expecting everyone to treat them with respect.

I sat down and thought I am going to have a glass of wine, right?  (Read wine as twisted tea, it sounds more grown up. Every time I pour myself a glass of a new wine, I remember I don’t like wine.)

I’m the world’s biggest light weight.  Two tall cans of “wine” later, I decided I would bust out whatever that wicked looking cinnamon whisky in my freezer is.  Yep.  Two little shot glasses later and I decided that probably wasn’t the best idea when the alarm goes off at 6:30 AM.

It was nice to have the weight of the world off my shoulders for a couple of hours though and just sit and talk to friends (thank you facebook and text messaging) and listen to music.

Little bit of a headache this morning, did I say oops?  Coffee is much needed to make me move and I now need to figure out my reading list for this weekend out along with the rest of my schedule.  Two soccer practices tonight, 3 games tomorrow, and 1 on Sunday makes me a mama who is running all over Iowa.

On to my reading list, which I decided is only going to include one book (that is two books in one).  I was looking ahead at my schedule this week and I am so grateful that I opened this one up – 13000 locations.  I am an extremely fast reader, I can push out 5000 location books in one day with a bit of effort, but I cannot do 13000 locations in one day.  This one is up for review on Monday and I figure 3 days should be good.  I believe this one is release April 28.

Jane Harvey Berrick

That is it.  I am about 4% in and I am really liking it so far.  Today I need to make myself sit down and write up some reviews that I am missing too.  Life has been so crazy the last few weeks, if it wasn’t due for a blog tour, I didn’t write the review yet.  I was just exhausted.  Hopefully with the teenager on an ADHD med that doesn’t incite rage things will be calmer around here.  I haven’t talked about it on my blog yet but the difference between my son on vyvanse and my son on concerta is night and day.  Two different kids.  And the one who takes the concerta is the one that I know.  I have missed him.
