New Ipsy Referral Program

*Check me out on Cafepress and Etsy.
Gift cards are how I keep track of how much I spend on books a month. If I added $20 to my gift card, once that balance is gone, I am done buying books for the month.
If an Amazon link is in a post, it is an affiliate link. Other relationships will be stated if there is one.
If you have shopping to do on Amazon, click on their logo below. It won't charge you anything, but it helps keep this site up and running and pays for the giveaways I do here and on my Facebook page. Thank you!

April Ipsy Bag

Dear FTC (wo)Man:  I am an Ipsy subscriber and have been forever.  I pay $10 a month to get a make up bag filled with goodies sent straight to my door.  Now they have a referral program.  Refer 2 friends – get a freebie.  I’ll share more about that in a bit.  Just so our relationship is clear for you. There may be other referral links for sites like GlossyBox.

I have been subscribed to Ipsy since August of 2012.  That’s 8 months (not counting this month cuz I haven’t gotten my May bag yet) of testing them out and I think long enough to decide that I absolutely adore them.  Favorite subscription service. Period.

I just canceled Sample Society because they were getting boring and canceled Birchbox a few months back for the same reason.  Right now I get Ipsy and Nail Art Society, and I’m seriously considering GlossyBox.

Back to Ipsy.  Love! $10/month brings me a new make up bag every month filled with goodies.  Usually it is deluxe samples and full size products.  I get more make up and nail stuff in their bags then in any other sample box I subscribe too.  I like skin care stuff, I’m 38, I’m noticing some wrinkles, but I don’t want my bag to be completely full of skin care products.  Where is the fun in that?

The make up bags are awesome too.  Every time I think I have gotten a make up bag that I will never stop using, I get a new one that I have to use to replace the one in my purse from last month. My girls have gotten a lot of make up bags out of the deal.  I keep my absolutely favorites (the black/white zig zag one!) and pass on the rest when I get a new one.

Here’s a the months of Ipsy bags I have gotten so that you can get a feel for what is in it –

March 2013

February 2013

January 2013

December 2012

November 2012 (one of my all time fave bags)

October 2012 (the zig zag bag I LOVE)

September 2012

August 2012 (I HATED that orange bag, loved everything in it.)

I always throw the lip gloss, perfumes, black eye liners, mascara deluxe samples, and lotions in my make up bag I keep in my purse.  They are the perfect size for on the go.

Full size eye shadows, bright red lip stain, skin/hair care products, and nail polish all get put in their various spots in the bathroom.

Can you see why I love them?

And now they have added a referral program.  Woot woot!  Finally.  I think I have referred 10 friends just since August.  Too bad it is not retroactive right?

What do you get after you sign up and refer two of your friends?

One bonus per person per month currently

You either get Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow or a BaubleBar O-Ring Stud Wrap for free in your next glam bag.

Ipsy, I say yay on your new points program! That makes me happy!
