I suppose that shouldn’t be my whole review.
It sums up how I feel nicely though.
You know, at the beginning of the book, I didn’t think I was going to end up on Team Romeo (aka Roman), he was kind of an a$$. He is the typical big man on campus, conceited, goes through women like most of us go through panties, star quarterback of the football team, man every guy wants to be and every woman wants to be with.
That being said after he met Rimmel we start to see who he can really be come out and that Roman I liked a lot.
Rimmel was a breath of fresh air. She was clumsy, had huge glasses, wore oversized clothes, hid behind her hair, and was the definition of a nerd. More or less she hid behind her outward appearance, for a reason.
She didn’t care about Romeo’s popularity and she didn’t let the girls who put her down or shot her jealous looks (while she was tutoring him) make her feel bad about herself. As much as she didn’t like being around people, she wasn’t completely uncomfortable in her own skin either. She is going on my girl crushes shelf. I adored Rimmel and as much as I liked Roman by the time we were done, Rimmel is what made #Nerd a book that I loved.
I think this is my most favorite Cambria Hebert book to date and my most favorite cover to one of her books. I absolutely loved #Nerd and I cannot wait for the next in this series. I don’t want to miss a book in this one.
5 stars from me. Thank you so much for my copy of #Nerd!
