Gift cards are how I keep track of how much I spend on books a month. If I added $20 to my gift card, once that balance is gone, I am done buying books for the month.
If an Amazon link is in a post, it is an affiliate link. Other relationships will be stated if there is one.
If you have shopping to do on Amazon, click on their logo below. It won't charge you anything, but it helps keep this site up and running and pays for the giveaways I do here and on my Facebook page. Thank you!

Honey, you should pay attention to this post.

I wrote it for you.

(For the FTC – There are affiliate links to Amazon in this post. Cuz I link when I can point my readers to a product instead of having them search for it. Other than that I don’t have a relationship with Amazon nor do I have one with NKOTB – ok I’ve been a squealing fan girl since 1988 – If you want more than that, your nosy bossy butts can scroll to the bottom, where I have no problem inserting a disclosure. Make me mess up my pretty post {grumbling].)

Mother’s Day is coming up and I thought while I’m wishing over things no one would think to get me, I’ll help some of the guys out there with some ideas for what to get the mothers in their lives.

Now, my husband has done pretty good since he realized that buying me roses does nothing more than tick me off.  (Seriously, don’t spend money on something that is going to die.  It drives me crazy.  Buy me a plant in a pot or a rose bush that I can keep alive outside. I love those.  I do not want flowers in a vase. Ever.) It doesn’t hurt to throw some ideas out to the universe though.

Keurig Coffee Maker

Judging by the posts in the blogosphere, I might possibly be the only person left in the universe who doesn’t have one. I’ve been drooling over these for years, yet never am able to bring myself to spend that much on a coffee pot for myself.  Pato, if you get me that, you should get me the reusable K-cup to go with it.  I have no problem drinking my Folders every morning, I just want the Keurig to make it.

iPad Mini

Now, it’s not that I don’t love my iPad, I do.  I take it EVERYWHERE.  I read on it, I blog on it, I check my Facebook and Twitter on it, That thing is never more than a foot away from me.  That being said, I’m a couple of generations behind.  I think if I had the mini, I could downsize my purse.  That would make my orthopedic surgeon very happy. See, Win!

Blue Diamond

This is my Mother’s Day wish list, I can dream. I used to manage a jewelry store.  I love jewelry.  LOVE jewelry.  Favorite stone I can afford?  A blue topaz. Any blue topaz.  I love all the shades of blue that it comes in.  Favorite stone I can’t afford?  That one in the picture.  A blue diamond.  I won’t settle for a chip.  Someday I will buy myself the stone I want, at least a carat.  See, I don’t expect anyone to buy it for me, so I don’t sound greedy by saying I won’t settle, right? Why blue?  I think white diamonds are beautiful but I like different.  My wedding ring isn’t filled with diamonds, it has a row of pink sapphires.

NKOTB Full Service Membership

If I have to be more reasonable in costs, which I would be, (-{sigh} It’s how I am.  I would rather spend money on the kids than have Pato buy me expensive presents.) I could totally go with the NKOTB Full Service Membership and tickets to their concert this summer (The Package Tour with 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men) in St Louis on June 30, with maybe some gas money to get there, cuz NKOTB rarely feels the need to include Des Moines, IA in their tours.  Bitter?  Little bit. It’s not that bad here.  I kind of like Iowa. I already have their new album, 10.  You don’t have to get that for me.

You could check out the video though.  (I Like The) Remix rocks.

I’m thinking the Keurig might be cheaper.

Have a wonderful day and don’t forget your mamas on May 12.

Dear FTC (wo)Man: This post was inspired by me, written by me, products chosen by me. No one asked me to write it. I didn’t receive any products for it, unless my husband reads it and runs with one of my ideas.  That would be awesome. If I receive any compensation it is from my affiliate links that are already on my blog, not because a company paid me to put them there. Oh and I love NKOTB.  That’s why they are there.  Have since I was 13.  25 years of I’ll be loving you forever.
