Gift cards are how I keep track of how much I spend on books a month. If I added $20 to my gift card, once that balance is gone, I am done buying books for the month.

painted rocks

If you read my post about painting rocks, you know we have jumped on the painted rocks bandwagon.

Painted RocksNano has been the lucky finder lately.  He won’t give his up, he has started a little rock collection on my bookshelf.  Since he won’t hide them after finding one, we’ve been painting to replace them.  😀

Painted Rocks

Those are our most recent ones.  Mine are the rainbow, the pigs, and the sugar skull.  Alyce painted the other ones.  I think she is getting really good at coming up with fun scenes to paint.

It’s fun to sit there at the table with her or one of the other kids and paint and talk.

Though yesterday we painted out my frustrations.  I decided the rocks I painted were way too happy for the mood I was in and that today I am going to finish painting my creepy doll.  A zombie covered green, red, and black should improve my mood a little bit.

If you haven’t looked for a rock group in your area, you should!  It is so much fun!  I listed some central Iowa groups in the post that I linked to above.

What is your favorite rock you have painted or found?

Have a wonderful day!
