I have been a fan of Godiva Chocolate Liqueur for a long time.
Olive Garden uses it in their chocolate martini’s and they are heavenly. When I heard Godiva came out with chocolate infused and raspberry chocolate infused vodka I jumped at the chance to try it.
I was sent 2 samples of the chocolate infused vodka and 2 samples of the chocolate raspberry vodka and a box of Godiva truffles. Heaven, let me tell you, I was in it.
I shared the vodka with my brother and sister in law. They got the chocolate infused vodka and I got the chocolate raspberry infused vodka.
My sister in law said it is the best drink she has ever had. You can sit there and sip on it, it’s that good. There’s not a lot of liquors you can do that with.
Neither of us are fans of drinks where you can taste the alcohol, but we came up with our own recipe that to us is heavenly.
We’ll call it Godiva Chocolate Vodka Heaven.
1 1/2 oz of Godiva Chocolate Infused Vodka
3-4 oz of Half & Half
Caramel sundae topping
1 packet of Equal
Put ice in a glass. Add the Godiva Chocolate Infused Vodka then the half and half.
Squirt the caramel in the glass until you have about 1/4 of an inch in the bottom.
Pour in the equal (or whatever sweetner you like).
Stir well.
Drink.
We’ve been having one every night (the three of us).
We’re on our third bottle of Godiva Chocolate Infused Vodka. Someone has to keep it in stock in the refrigerator for our nightly sit around and chat after the kids our in bed event. I’ll miss that when we finally move into our own place. We’ll have to go to each other’s houses but the kids won’t be asleep then. It’s just nice to sip on that drink as we enjoy the quiet. 7 kids creates a lot of noise during the day.
Just watch how much you are putting in your glass. It packs a punch. Or I’m a light weight. The first night I made them I think I added too much and was a tad bit on the tipsy side without intending to be. Now I measure it out.
I only got one truffle. I didn’t have them hid well enough. Those were so yummy too though! Next time I find another spot to put them.
The Godiva Chocolate Infused Vodka and the Chocolate Raspberry Infused Vodka are $30 at my local Hy-Vee (grocery store). I’m sure you can find it at any store that sells liquor throughout the US.
If you can’t tell, the Godiva Chocolate Infused Vodka is our favorite, but the Chocolate Raspberry was really good too. We just have made the chocolate our drink of choice.
If you can’t tell, I’m going to recommend this highly. Love it! Check out your local store that sells liquor. I’m sure you can find it there. If you can’t, Google it, you’ll come up with shopping results and you can get it that way.
