When I was younger, it was the ring and that was it.  Usually just a silver band or a rose (I actually got my sister a rose one when she was 16.).  I love all the choices that Cornerstone Jewelry Designs has!  Absolutely gorgeous!  I think my favorites are the Love Necklace and the “Saved Heart” Purity Ring for my girls and for Jordan and Nano it would be the True Love Waits Purity Ring either in English or the Spanish I showed you above.

For me, I am teaching my kids that waiting until marriage is the best choice for many reasons (not just religious reasons, but those do come into play too).  I think that that commitment is taken too lightly by so many people, not just young people, now in our time.  I want my kids to know that it’s not just some flippant act that you do with just anyone.  It’s important, it matters, that first time can only be given once.   Cornerstone Jewelry Designs also has resources to help explain that to your kids.  It’s a wonderful selection of books!

Steam Designs

Lately I’ve really been liking the look of steampunk jewelry (along with everyone else!) and his stuff is just beautiful!

Take a peak at what he sent me.

Is that not absolutely gorgeous?  It’s even more beautiful in person!  This is a solid piece of jewelry.  When I opened up the pretty black bag that it came in and slid it into my hand I was really surprised.  It’s not heavy, like painful to wear heavy, because it’s very comfortable to wear, but it has a little weight to it.  You can feel the quality sitting in your hand.  I hope that makes sense to you because it’s the best way I can describe it.  It is also absolutely stunning!  I put on a black shirt tonight, dark blue jeans, silver flip flops, put the necklace on, a pair of hoops and off to soccer practice I went.  I talked to 5 people while I had the little ones on the playground while Kat was practicing.  All 5 of them ooooo’d and ahh’d over my necklace and asked me where I got it.  2 of them reached out to touch it.  That’s in the first hour of wearing it.  I’m telling you, I was the best dressed mom at soccer and it was all the necklace.

It’s definitely a conversation piece, an eye catcher, something people notice right away.

I love it!!

We are having family pictures on Saturday with my whole extended family (19 of us) and I’m already planning my outfit around this necklace.  That means my own family’s outfits will be planned around the outfits so we all look good together.  Tell me you don’t do that?

I also have to share that Jordan attempted to steal this necklace from me tonight. When I came back from practice, I took off the necklace and my earrings, got into my PJs, and sat at my desk.  I go to do the review and my necklace is missing.  I know I put it here, where did it go?  Jordan is wearing it.  (My 11 year old son.)  He thinks it’s sweet.  I had to take it off of him myself because he wouldn’t take it off until I promised he could wear it to school tomorrow.  Um, no.  It’s mine.  Mine mine mine.  No children shall be wearing it.  Thank you.

I got the chance to review a gorgeous ring from ChunkyBling.Com.  First, it was really hard to choose which ring I wanted to try.  I am a huge fan of Swarovski crystal from back in my jewelry store manager days.  Nothing sparkles like Swarovski crystal.  I did not even know that Swarovski had pearls.  I just thought they specialized in crystal.  You learn something new every day!

I picked out the Swarovski Pearl ring in Mystic Black.  Shipping was extremely fast.  I opened up my little package and out fell this sparkler.

Honestly, it’s even more beautiful in person!  I would love to show you a picture of it on my hand, but the other day, my card reader for my camera died.  I can’t get the pictures off of my camera until the new one gets here.  (Estimated date – April 1 – 6)

I will tell you that it’s gorgeous!  I got my Swarovski Pearl ring in a 7-8 to wear on my left hand with my other white gold jewelry.  I don’t want to take off my wedding ring so I got it to fit my index finger.  It fits perfectly.  And unlike my wedding ring, I haven’t had a problem with this getting snug when it gets warm and my fingers swell a tad.  It sparkles just like you would expect Swarovski crystal, which is a lot.  The Swarovski Pearls are so shiny.  I’m so glad I got it in black.  I adore black pearls.

It is so hard to pick out the perfect Swarovski Crystal ring because they have such beautiful styles!  Impossible to choose!

Here’s the other one that I was going back and forth on with the one that I did choose.

I’ve gotten compliments on my ring from a lot of women already and no one can believe that they could buy it for only $8 also.  It’s a steal.  You should see the prices on their other chunky jewelry.  Insane how low their prices are.

Back to the Swarovski company.  I wanted to tell you a little about their crystals and pearls.  Like I said, I’ve been a huge fan of Swarovski crystal for years because of it’s sparkle.  Here’s a little bit of info behind that sparkle -

The Swarovski company uses a special compound in its glass which creates maximum surface luster (i.e. sparkle) and allows for a delicate palette of crystal colors.

And behind the pearls (This was hugely interesting to me, because of my background with jewelry, and I agree with what they say.  These come very close to the feel of natural pearls.)

Swarovski pearls are exquisitely crafted using a heart of the finest Austrian crystal which has been finished with layers of highly luminous pearlescent coating. The crystal core and evenly applied coating give these Swarovski pearls a balance, luminosity, and luster similar to that of real pearls. To the touch, Swarovski pearls provide the same sensual experience valued by pearl enthusiasts. And like natural pearls, Swarovski pearls adjust to the temperature of the skin. Swarovski pearls are more durable than natural pearls. They are abrasion proof and resistant to UV light, scratches, perspiration, and perfume. They will not be damaged by washing or dry cleaning.

Again, I’m in shock that they sell Swarovski Pearl rings and Swarovski Crystal rings for only $8.  That is so awesome!  It’s low enough that I would get Katiana one of these and not be worried about her losing it, but so beautiful that I won’t let her touch mine because I want it.  Plus, I’m now thinking I need a few more colors for myself.

(I mentioned the bracelet with a wedding gown, so many of her gorgeous pieces would be stunning on your wedding day or at your reception, with your traveling outfit.  I wish I knew her when I got married.  I could see some things that would have been perfect with my dress.)

I know, my picture is not nearly as good as hers, but is that not gorgeous?  I love it!  The chunkiness, the picture, the clock face, it’s all to die for.  It’s put together so well too.  It’s just perfect.  When I held it in my hands I felt like I had gone to jewelry lovers’ heaven.

I went out tonight and that was my main accessory.  The necklace and a pair of silver hoop earrings.  At all 3 places I went all 3 of the ladies who waited on me oooh’d and ah’d and where did you get that necklace’d me.  It’s such a bold striking piece.  It’s gorgeous.  I’m in love with my necklace.

Let’s note here that the macro setting on my camera is not my forte.   The letters on my necklace are just as dark as the letters on her product previews.  It is so gorgeous! I want a light box for these things.

First off, how amazing is she that she got all of my kids’ names on that one tag?  Only 1 of my children have a shorter name and Christiano would push anyone’s limits (the name, not the baby).

I was so excited when I opened the bag that she sent it in and all I saw was sparkly pretty silver.  I’m a sucker for sparklies and my husband doesn’t indulge me ever nearly enough. This was a huge treat.

That’s not a thin little silver tag, it’s thicker and strong and it’s not going to bend at all. (Something I have a tendency to do with my silver rings.)

The ball chain has a lobster claw to close it and is just so pretty!  I’m really liking the ball chain style lately that is so popular!

I keep saying it, but this necklace is just so gorgeous!
