Gift cards are how I keep track of how much I spend on books a month. If I added $20 to my gift card, once that balance is gone, I am done buying books for the month.

This child is going through withdrawal from dance classes. Recital will have been 2 weeks ago this Saturday and she is dying to get back into classes. She has competition camp this afternoon, but full summer dance classes don’t start for a few more weeks.
I have two girls who dance. One does it in class and maybe behind a closed bedroom door. This one, however, never ever stops. She does turns in the living room, leaps down the long grocery store aisles, and tumbles on any section of grass she comes across.
The other day I was sitting on the balcony, minding my own business, and heard tapping without tap shoes on. I looked over to see this:
I said are you missing dance classes already? A little and off she went tap dancing some more.
I’m glad she loves it because all of the classes she wants to take are not the cheapest of my kids’ activities. This summer she is looking at 17 classes a week and that’s cut down from the original number she wanted to take. Got to use my mommy veto somewhere.
What are you constantly catching your kid doing even when they aren’t required to?
