Gift cards are how I keep track of how much I spend on books a month. If I added $20 to my gift card, once that balance is gone, I am done buying books for the month.

My friend Wendy of Eclectic Birdnest is one of the most creative people I know. We met when Kat and her daughter were in preschool together, we hit it off right away, and now our girls are 11 and still BFFs. I love their family so much!
At the beginning of July Livvie had her 11th birthday party and again, they took my breath away. When you walked in to the house it was just a beautiful wonderland from the decorations to the food.
Livvie and Kat, best friends since 4 years old.
toad stool apples – for real. How cool are those?
Kat’s favorite part was the rabbit fluff
The queen in front of her royal subjects.
Kat decided I needed to try on the hat she made. (You can see the other hats in the top pic.) I stayed for quite a bit of the party because you know there’s strength in numbers when it comes to moms. 😀
Wearing their hats while painting their tea cups.
Kat had such an amazing time. I thought this was such a fantastic idea for a party and so perfect for Livvie. One of the dogs even met me at the door dressed as a rabbit. I wish I would have snapped a picture of her because she didn’t want to be a rabbit for long.
Here is what we got Livvie, it isn’t Alice in Wonderland, but she is a queen, so it’s kind of fitting.
Do your girls love the Ever After High dolls? Mine do. Especially Leecy. That’s all she ever wants for presents is more Ever After High dolls and books.
Now for the card that Kat picked out. I sent her into the store on her own and she came out with this.
I read it and said KATA!!!! She said what? It’s funny? I don’t think her mind went in the same direction as mine. To have the mind of innocense still.
If you want to see more of Wendy’s work, give her a like on Facebook. She is just so amazing (though she refuses to let me paint any of her dolls zombie like.)
What’s your favorite birthday party you or your kids have attended?
