Not Everyone's Mama

I’m Heather. I’m a 35 year old Stay At Home Mom to Jordan (son), 11 years old, Katiana (daughter), 6 years old, Alyce, (daughter), 3 years old, and Christiano (son), 1. I have been with Pato for 8 years. We live in Iowa.

Pato is from Mexico. I also speak Spanish, just not as well as he does. ) We are raising our kids to be bilingual giving them the best of both worlds.

When I’m not on the computer blogging or digital scrapbooking, I love singing (I was a vocal major in college before I got pregnant with Jordan and um, took a break that I haven’t gone back from yet), dancing, playing the piano, shopping, hitting the casino with my mama, lots o’ stuff!  I also spend a lot of time hanging out with our birds and obsessing over their nutrition.  We have 2 lovebirds – Twinkle and Woodstock, and 5 budgies (or more commonly known as parakeets) – Lucky, Penelope, Angel, Lemon, and Blueberry.

I’ve been blogging on this blog since I was pregnant with my 3 year old.  At least all of my old posts were transferred over here.  Before that I had websites that I built for fun.  Everything I do regarding websites and graphic design I have learned on my own over the years.

My blog started out as a way to stay up to date with my customers of my (sadly neglected) digital scrapbooking store, it transformed into my journal.  Eventually I plan on having all of my My Life entries printed into a hard bound book to give to each of my children.  It’s more or less a collection of their lives that I have been writing down since 2006.

I hope that they enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed blogging (though they might not appreciate ALL of the posts until they have children of their own).

I hope that you too enjoy coming along the journey with us.  I’m amazed at how many people stop by each day just to follow what we are doing.

The 24/7 Mom – it’s a crazy job, but I wouldn’t change a thing!
