Gift cards are how I keep track of how much I spend on books a month. If I added $20 to my gift card, once that balance is gone, I am done buying books for the month.
If an Amazon link is in a post, it is an affiliate link. Other relationships will be stated if there is one.
If you have shopping to do on Amazon, click on their logo below. It won't charge you anything, but it helps keep this site up and running and pays for the giveaways I do here and on my Facebook page. Thank you!

Bwa ha ha ha ha.
That was my best Dracula impression.
How’d I do?
Welcome to Not Everyone’s Mama and my stop on the Spooktacular Giveaway Hop!
I don’t share this often enough, but I LOVE horror stories. Love them. I love anything that scares that pants off of me. There is an author who has been on my favorite author list for YEARS. He was one of the first on there, one of the first I ever did a review for, and I LOVE his work. He freaks me out. I always say I don’t know what is going on that mind of his, but I am really glad it is in there. No one makes me double check the locks and look under my bed like he does. Love his work!
Meet one of the most talented horror writers in the world – Scott Nicholson.
I have read quite a few of his books but haven’t made it through all of them yet. That is my goal. To get through all of his books. I think October is the perfect month to have a Scott Nicholson Indie author extraordinaire marathon.
That is exactly what one lucky winner of my blog stop giveaway will get. An awesome collection of Scott Nicholson e-books gifted from Amazon from me to you. There are so many to choose from, I’m going to try to pick my absolute faves and some of his newer ones that I haven’t read yet.
First, no collection is complete without my most favorite book of his and the first book I read that he had written:
The Red Church ($3.99)
For real, if you don’t get up and check your door locks at least once, you’re not reading this right.
Stoker Award finalist with more than 100,000 copies sold, from the international bestselling author of McFALL and DRUMMER BOY. A boy and a sheriff must solve the mystery of a haunted Appalachian church when a strange preacher returns to town.
"Like Stephen King, he knows how to summon serious scares. My advice? Buy everything he writes." – Bentley Little, The Haunted
"Nobody thrills like Nicholson does. Nobody." — J.A. Konrath, The List
THE RED CHURCH
For 13-year-old Ronnie Day, life is full of problems: Mom and Dad have separated, his brother Tim is a constant pest, Melanie Ward either loves him or hates him, and Jesus Christ won’t stay in his heart. Plus he has to walk past the red church every day, where the Bell Monster hides with its wings and claws and livers for eyes. But the biggest problem is that Archer McFall is the new preacher at the church, and Mom wants Ronnie to attend midnight services with her.
Sheriff Frank Littlefield hates the red church for a different reason. His little brother died in a freak accident at the church twenty years ago, and now Frank is starting to see his brother’s ghost. And the ghost keeps demanding, "Free me." People are dying in Whispering Pines, and the murders coincide with McFall’s return.
The Days, the Littlefields, and the McFalls are descendants of the original families that settled the rural Appalachian community. Those old families share a secret of betrayal and guilt, and McFall wants his congregation to prove its faith. Because he believes he is the Second Son of God, and that the cleansing of sin must be done in blood.
"Sacrifice is the currency of God," McFall preaches, and unless Frank and Ronnie stop him, everybody pays.
Next! Scott has a brand new box set out called Box of Boo.
That set has two more of my favorite books by Scott in it.
The Home – I think this one freaked me out the most because I could kind of see some of this happening. Yeah, some might laugh at me when I say that, but it doesn’t take a huge stretch of the imagination to see this going down.
From a #1 Kindle bestselling author, in development as a feature film.
"Like Stephen King, he has an eye and ear for the rhythms of rural America, and like King he knows how to summon serious scares. My advice? Buy everything he writes."– Bentley Little, The Haunting
When twelve-year-old Freeman Mills arrives at Wendover, a group home for troubled children, it’s a chance for a fresh start. But second chances aren’t easy for Freeman, the victim of painful childhood experiments that gave him the ability to read other people’s minds.
At Wendover, Freeman and the other children are subjected to more secret experiments, organized by a shadowy organization called The Trust. But the experiments do more than open up clairvoyant powers–the electromagnetic fields used in the experiments are summoning the ghosts of the patients who died at Wendover back when it was a psychiatric ward.
Now a new scientist has been brought into the project, an unstable and cruel pioneer in ESP studies who performed most of his work on a very special subject: his son, Freeman Mills.
"Nobody thrills like Nicholson does. Nobody." — J.A. Konrath, Afraid
Bloodthirsty mutants go on a rampage at a camp for troubled teens after an infection spreads. Adapted from Scott Nicholson’s original horror screenplay.
In a desperate attempt to save their land from tax foreclosure, Delphus Fraley and his daughter open a camp for at-risk kids, with the goal of building character through experience in the Appalachian Mountain outdoors.
But a strange infection contaminating the camp’s mess hall soon triggers a violent rampage. As the isolated camp turns into a bloodbath, camp counselor Jenny Usher first fights to save the children, and then finds she must fight to save herself.
Because this infection doesn’t just kill, it brings the dead back to life…
Scott Nicholson is the international bestselling author of more than 30 books, including The Home, After: The Shock, Liquid Fear, The red Church, and more.
J.T. Warren is the author of Hudson House, Rampage, Blood Mountain, and the series Jeremiah Rivers: Demon Hunter.
The set also includes Spider Web: A Vampire Thriller and After: The Shock . I haven’t read those two yet, but they are on my list. You can also grab After: First Light (AFTER post-apocalyptic series, Book 0) for free!
Now it becomes more difficult, do I choose a newer book that I haven’t read yet, or do I go with another one I love but that is an older work of his.
And I just got word that this one will be released in time for the hop so, you’ll get Scott’s brand new book too! I am hoping to have read this by the time I draw for a winner.
McFall (Kindle Serial) ($1.99)
"If Evil had fortified secret strongholds across the globe, the red church was certainly one of them."
Award-winning author Scott Nicholson returns to the Blue Ridge Mountain legends and setting of his bestselling thrillers, The Red Church and Drummer Boy.
When wealthy developer Larkin McFall moves to the small Appalachian Mountain community of Barkersville, generations-old tales of supernatural phenomena, sudden deaths, and odd disappearances resurface. Larkin laughs off the stories as superstition, while promising to bring a bright new future to the dying town.
Sheriff Frank Littlefield senses a diabolical motive in McFall’s good intentions. High school friends Bobby Eldreth and Ronnie Day also suspect that an evil menace has invaded Barkersville, but both soon fall under McFall’s spell. Has the sinister presence that once infiltrated the abandoned—perhaps haunted—red church spread to the community as McFall turns the family property into a luxurious subdivision?
When those who oppose Larkin McFall’s ambitions begin to die horrifically—or even worse, become the man’s biggest supporters—Sheriff Littlefield’s investigation uncovers a man with no past and no fingerprints.
A man who destroys people by giving them exactly what they want.
Then because Scott released the box set which changed my giveaway so that I could give you more of his books, I am also giving away
