Dear FTC (wo)Man: There is a referral link to Loot Crate however, they did not give me anything for this post. My relationship with them is that of a customer who buys the monthly box for her 14 year old son who then earns the money to pay me back. It all works out. Carry on.
He’s sleeping though.

June 2013 Loot Crate
His first box got here yesterday right before I went to pick him up from camp. I missed that boy. We took the box and the dog with us to get him. He opened the box before he even got in the car and was running it around to all the guys.
This month’s box was called MashUp. It was supposed to be a MashUp of different geek and gamer items piled into one awesome box.
What’s in it this month?
- The Dead Pool-Aid shirt. (I kind of want to steal it.)
- 8-bit Sunglasses (He loves.)
- Bic 2 in 1 Stylus + Pen (I got one first TYVM.)
- Lootcrate Bot and Help A Brother Out stickers (Going on his Moped.)
- Warheads Extreme Sour Candies (I want one.)
- Loot Crate Wall Tangrams (Whatever those are.)
- Stan Lee’s Comikaze Golden Ticket (We’re in Iowa. He won’t use it.)
Seriously, I want that shirt.
Was I impressed? I know the value of the pen because I just got one to review (and I love it), the shirt is really cool (that and the pen’s value probably = the cost of the box w/shipping added), and the glasses, while not something I would wear (too 1980’s for me, I already lived through that decade once), he thinks they are funky. The Golden Ticket he won’t use so I don’t consider it’s value when accessing the box value. He loves the stickers and they are going on his moped.
I guess my exact thoughts when he opened it were that it didn’t look like much from the top of the box (I’m used to my make up boxes stuffed full of stuff I want), but when I dug in and added things up, it exceeds the price we paid for the box and Jordan is happy. Seeing as he is earning the money to pay for the box each month, it’s what he thinks that matters. It’s not important that most of the stuff wasn’t my cup of tea. He’s my gamer, this one is for him. He was super happy with the box and thinks it is totally worth it this month.
