Not Everyone's Mama Book Store

Looking for something new to read? I've added some of my favorite books to the new book store!

This is one of those mish mash paddy whack throw everything into one post kind of posts.

Those are fun!

First, don’t forget to check out my Pampered Chef Online Party, I’m stoked just cuz I love Pampered Chef products and have for years.

Let’s hit the last 2 manicures I did just so I don’t forget them like I always do.

That came out way hotter pink in real life than it did in the picture which is why it only lasted a few days. I love pink, and I love hot pink, I just don’t think as the main color it looks very good against my skin tone.

Speaking of OPI silver shatter nail polish, which I hadn’t mentioned yet, but now that I have we’ll carry on. Has anyone else had a problem with this nail polish chunking up? Not just clumping, chunking.

Since about the third use this has had horrible chunks in it. I don’t know if it’s the metallic formula or what but it drives me crazy. The color actually turns to a dusky not pretty gold color instead of that bright shiny metallic color you see in the picture. I finally bought some nail polish thinner the other day, added a few drops and hoped. It goes on thinner again, the color is back to being the silver it should be, but it still has small chalky like chunks in it.

Since the manicure above only made me happy for a few days, I changed it up again.

If you know me by now, you know I love doing just the tips and I love my funky flowers and I combine them a lot.

This one I used my OPI red shatter on and it behaves a bit better than the silver. It still got a bit thicker than it should be but it does nothing like the silver one does. It’s sad cuz the silver one is my favorite. I’ve never had OPI nail polish act like the Shatters do. I should Google it and find out if anyone else is having a problem with them.

Last pic is from today.

I french braided my hair from one ear across the back into a side bun. I wanted something that was fun, cute, kept my hair out of my face and up off my neck/back with this heat, and did not make me look like I was trying to be a school girl, which just doesn’t look the same at 37 as it does at 22, BTW.

I came out to the living room and didn’t know whether to giggle or shed a few tears when my 13 year old son said, now THAT looks cute mom. Either reaction because of it being a very unexpected compliment.

Then my 5 year old daughter said, mom, you look like a pretty girl with wrinkles.

I like Jordan’s compliment better.

The picture is to prove that I do not have that many wrinkles yet ThankYouVeryMuch.

Have a great day!

Your nails look great! I wish I was able to do mine like that; they just turn out looking like a shaking hand did them. I bought the same OPI Silver Shatter nail polish and had the same issue too; it seems to just be the silver one for some strange reason. And no, you do not have any wrinkles!

Thanks Amanda! I still have shaky hands sometimes which is why I don’t paint scenes very often. I think I am going to try gradients next. I’m glad it’s not just my shatter doing it, but that’s not cool this formula is having a problem. :( thanks for stopping by!
