Bullying disgusts me.
People disgust me with the way they treat each other.
Then something comes along like this and my faith in mankind is restored.
Karen Klein is a 68 year old bus monitor on a bus in Greece, NY.
Watch this video and tell me if you aren’t torn between crying and puking at the way these middle school students are treating her.
WARNING: do not listen to this if you have children around. These kids use some serious vulgar language.
Woe to the person who EVER attempts to talk to my mother like that.
I really hope that their parents saw the video and consequences were handed out. Part of me feels like they won’t be. In my experience with bullies, which would be my 13 year old’s entire school career, minus the end of last year when he finally started asserting himself, many times, the parents just dont care. Their kid either wouldn’t do that or they flat out don’t give a rip about how their kid treats other people. I’m not saying this happens in every example, but from what I have seen and experienced, the parents who are active in their kids lives don’t raise bullies. (I don’t care if you’re single, divorced, married, widowed, a guardian, I mean that a parent is actively paying attention to what their kid is doing, taking an interest in their kid’s life, rewarding, disciplining, doing all the things we should be doing as parents to raise upstanding human beings who are productive members of society.)
At the very least, I hope the school took action.
Are you surprised that it’s middle schoolers talking like that? Don’t be. I’ve heard the same words coming out of a 1st graders mouth.
Disgusting.
How was my faith restored? Somebody came up with a way to donate to send Karen on a (much-needed) vacation. They wanted to raise $5000 so she could go somewhere nice.
It’s up to $124K + right now with 30 days left in the campaign.
Keep it going and she could be looking at Retirement baby! Take that bus and shove it!

The World Reacts To Bullying Of A Bus Monitor
In response to Luis Recio in that article saying he should have done something, yes, you should have done something. One of the things that stuck with Jordan from his two weeks in boot camp, you stand up for others when they can’t stand up for themselves. You defend them.

It’s horrible the way those kids treated that poor lady. They should be banned from the bus until they graduate.
Coupon Trunk´s most fabulous post ..Happy (Early) Canada Day!
That sounds like a plan to me! I kept wishing they would do that to the kids who bullied my son, but they were let back on day after day.
