After Axl leaves his dirty smelly socks lying around the house one too many times, Mike punished his son by banning him from playing his basketball team’s final game. Given the Heck legacy on the basketball team, do you think it was the best decision? Have you ever, or had a parent, give the time that didn’t fit the crime? Were you able to get out of it and how?
I do this all the time. Well, I’m getting better at it. I either overdo it or underdo it. Jordan, you missed the bus again? You’re grounded from electronics for 2 weeks. Then I suffer because I have to listen to Mr whiny butt go on and on about how unfair it is.
I can remember times I think my mom overdid it to. Notice I said, I think. Not she overreacted. Most of you know that I love piercings, I always have. When I was younger, my grandma had to talk my mom into letting me get my ears double pierced. That was it, all she wrote, no more holes in my head that I wasn’t born with.
Then I got more.
And more.
I was grounded something like, 2 weeks for disobeying, and a week for each additional hole in my head that wasn’t supposed to be there.
I have 7 in my left ear and 4 in my right.
I was grounded a lot.
Do I think Mike overreacted, yes. Completely. If he would have gone out and broken into a car and stole all the audio, I would think that was a good punishment, dirty socks? Overreacting.
Seriously.
How do you get your kids to put their clothes in the laundry room?
I have been hired by Warner Bros. WBWord division to promote The Middle Season Two on DVD.
