Early in the second season, Brick discovers what a little white lie is from his parents, realizing they only did it to protect him from the reality. When was the last time you told your kids, or your family a little white lie? Did they ever find the truth out?
Have I ever been caught in a white lie? I really try not to lie ever. In fact, since childhood, I’ve never been a big liar period. My mom said she could always tell when I had done something wrong because I would talk in my sleep. Maybe not coherently, but that was her clue to ask me what I had done wrong.
The only fibs I can think of off the top of my head are the Santa Claus, Easter bunny, and tooth fairy ones.
My oldest 2 both know the truth now, but my youngest two don’t. My oldest two pretty much found out at school. I didn’t mind those, because even though my kids know the reason behind the holidays, I think it is fun to have Santa and the bunny as long as they will believe in them. And when asked if Santa was real, I never lied lied. At least I don’t think it’s a lie? I would say, Santa only comes to those who believe in him. Maybe it is, but it worked for me.
Other than that, I don’t really lie to my kids or my husband ever.
If you have to lie about something, there really is no point in doing it is there? Obviously there is something wrong with what you are doing if you have to hide it.
Although, I think my husband is good at white lies. Maybe all husbands are.
Do I look good in this? before looking in the mirror.
Esta bien. (It’s ok.)
Look in the mirror.
Ok, obviously you need your eyes checked.
