Season 3 of The Mentalist finds Patrick Jane solving mysteries at locations including a racetrack, driving range, gold country and a mixed martial arts match. Based on Patrick’s experiences in the episodes, which of these locations would you find the most challenging to investigate? Why?
I have to be honest, the driving range would probably be easiest because I hate golf and wouldn’t be distracted in the slightest. Though, I might be completely bored there also. Wait, I’m investigating, I would not be distracted from my work…
unless I was at the racetrack. No, I would not let myself be distracted by the chance to bet and win. Never. Not me. People, gambling runs in my blood. My great grandpa was a poker gambler by profession, and not a very good one at that. My grandma raised me on horses. My mama loves keno. And I still love the races. I might be a bit distracted there.
The martial arts match. I’m a tad ADD and I hate violence, even in sports. I would be watching and cringing. That would be the most difficult one for me to be at. I don’t enjoy watching that kind of thing. Kind of a form of torture for me. Funny being as my dad did Tae Kwon Do for years, my brothers did it when they were younger, my niece, my sister in law, even Jordan. I seem to be the only one who would be distracted. Nope, they would all be distracted by watching.
