It Has Almost Come To An End

Posted by Heather Manning On March - 14 - 2011

Last night, Pato’s boss loaned him the money that we need for the down payment on the mobile home.  We’ll pay him back with our income tax check when it gets here.

I didn’t believe Pato when he told me because there have been so many set backs along the way so he took a picture and sent it to me.  Then I went jumping around the house showing the picture to everyone.  We’re going to have our own place again!!!!!  Yippie!

I’m not sure if he’s waiting until Wednesday to get together with the owner or what?  He tried to call him last night but he didn’t answer.

I’m dying.

Dying.

Dying to get into my own place again.

With room for my kids to play.

It’s about time.

It’s been 6 weeks since the apartment building burned down.

So many set backs along the way.

I’m hoping this journey is coming to an end so that we can get on with our lives.

I told Nano this morning we are going to have a home and he can sleep in Jordan’s room.  He was dancing with me until the last part.  Then he looked up at me like, whatchoo talking about mom?

Speaking of waiting for my income tax check, I rolled last night.  We are waiting for the paper check to get here right?  This happened yesterday -

The story is the cops were chasing a drunk driver who drove all the way from Minnesota to take out my brother’s mailbox making it more difficult for me to get my check.  Are you kidding me?

Swerve marks

Part of the car

The neighbor’s obliterated mailbox

More swerve marks

My brother and Jordan said they saw someone hop the barbed wire fence in the backyard and race across the field, but the police didn’t get him.  They got the driver after he wrecked the car a little farther down the road.

Look at the excitement that happens in small town Iowa on the gravel roads.

Have a great day!
