I know I have so many Christiano stories but I can’t help myself. He is at the age where he just cracks me up (sometimes – when the terrible twos pop out and he kicks me in my face while I’m changing his diaper, not so funny).
Last night he came to me crying.
Mama. Leecy hit me.
Alyce hit you?
Yes.
Alyce got in trouble for hitting.
5 minutes later they were playing contentedly and he looks up and said, mama, Alyce hit me gain.
Alyce hit you again?
Yep.
Alyce did you hit Nano again?
NO!
Nano – uh huh!
Alyce – I did not.
Nano – uh huh!
Me – Nano, if Alyce hit you, you’d be crying again. You’re not crying.
Nano – uh huh!
Me – Where are your tears?
Nano – (looking around as if he is trying to remember where he put them) I hide them.
Me – You hid your tears?
Nano – yep.
Me – Nano, I don’t think Alyce hit you.
Nano – uh huh!
Me – Whatever.
Me thinks my son learned that he can tattle and get someone else in trouble…..even if they didn’t do it.
Not cool Nano. Not cool.
What do you all have planned for today?
Me? A big old fat nothing.
Pato is working this afternoon. It’s normally his day off but he trading someone Wednesday night for tonight because they needed tonight off. I need to find something for the kids and I to do. They have cabin fever something fierce. I think Junie Bee does too, actually. All the snow and the cold and the coughing and running noses. It’s a little warmer today and I have to get them outside to play. I don’t think Junie will take to kindly to playing in the snow, but she needs to get out and enjoy the sunshine or else I’m going to have to slip some vitamin D in her food along with her acidophilus and glucosamine that I already hide in it. Can dogs get rickets from lack of sunshine?
Never mind, she just found the one spot where the sun is shining on the couch to lay in.
She’s all good.
I’m off to figure out what they can do to run off some energy. If you have any suggestions for kids to run off energy when you live in an apartment in the middle of Antarctica Iowa, I’ll take them.
Have a great day!

see, now i wish damian, my only son or 4 kids, who’s a 2 year old, would snitch. he’s a little man of few words. instead, if his 1 year old sister or teen sisters do something he doesn’t like, he tells them no and pushes them away. i have not one clue where he picked this up. he did a brief stint at a babysitter who has a 4 year old and 7 year old and i’m not sure if he saw them doing it and learned it. i can’t lie, i find it funny when he does it to the teens, but it’s awful when he does it to his little sister. she’s 28lbs, she falls right down.
we also live in an apartment, in nyc, and it really bloody cold outside, but if damian doesn’t burn off that energy, nap time is all screwed up. for example, it’s 6pm here, and he’s napping right now. that means he’ll be up at 8pm and stay up till 2am. i’m so doomed tonight.
and to top it off, hubby’s working till 10pm tonight since 7 this morning, he’ll be absolutely no help. did i mention i’m doomed.

Don’t they just come up with the darndest stuff to say — hope you got some of the cabin fever worked out — we are off to watch Alexa in the Jan dance cabaret at her studio — a duet with a friend and 3 class dances.

It’s really amazing how our kids turn each conversation into funny and lively ones.:-) I love hearing my kids converse to one another. I just love the innocence they have.:-)
