The Clic-It diaper bag would make the perfect gift for any mom with a little one, any mom to be, or any a mom of a toddler like me.  I hate cutesy diaper bags.  I love messenger bags, so first this style fits me to a T.  The idea behind is awesome!  Even with pockets, I tend to just throw everything into one pocket and it all gets jumbled together, leaving me to dig through the mess to find my keys, a pen, some lip gloss, etc.  The diapers are about the only things that are easy to find in my old diaper bag.

Clic-It is designed to make it easier for you to care for your baby on the go. Personalize the system to meet your daily needs – take only the accessories you need with you, and hang them in easy-access, convenient positions on your diaper bag.

The Clic-It quick release clip system gives you the flexibility to design the diaper bag that works for you.Learn more about Clic-It.

This is genius!  It has all these little parts that clic! on and off of it.  Since mine is almost 2, I use my extra bags for different uses than what they intended them to do, but it works out great.  I got the pacifier holder with mine, which actually holds my cell phone perfectly.

The diaper bag features -

The shoulder strap can come off and be used as a belt for when you don’t need the whole thing, you can clic a few different holders on to your belt and off you go.

You can also get:

to go with the Clic-It diaper bag.  Since Nano doesn’t take a bottle and never really has, I use the bottle holder as a make up case in the diaper bag.  I use the organizer pouch to hold my little wallet.  It’s a small one that just holds my atm cards and my driver’s license, plus I throw my dollar bills in there.  (Something I rarely carry any more.  I never have a dollar when I need cash.)

For me, I could stand for it to be a bit bigger.  Even though Nano is my toddler, I still keep toys and paper/notebooks, sometimes a change of clothes for the girls in my bag., a school folder for Jordan if he needs to do homework wherever we are going, etc for the girls in my bag.  It still works.  I just pack a little lighter than I used to, which is actually better for my back. :)

This is a bag that Pato doesn’t mind carrying either.  It’s not too girly looking for my big manly man to carry. He hates it when I use purse type bags when he has to take the kids somewhere. He’d rather taket he things out he needs and throw them into a grocery bag then carry a typical diaper bag.  He grabs this whenever they head out the door.  I always keep it packed so I don’t have to do it last minute.

All in all, excellent diaper bag with awesome features!  I would definitely recommend giving this to the new mom in your life!

Welcome To Iowa In December

Posted by Heather Manning On December - 7 - 2010

weather

Somebody turned off the heat……outside.  I mean, 25 degrees wasn’t pleasant, but 11?  Not right.  And it’s only going to get colder.

Knock on wood

I’m really surprised it hasn’t snowed yet.  Usually we have had at least one snow day by now.  Pretty white snow sparkling like cubic zirconia rings in the snow.  I’m not complaining mind you, thanking the God of snow, yes, but not complaining.  Usually, Alyce’s birthday party is snowed out, and that was last week.

I think it’s time to start switching to night showers for the kids.  I didn’t make them take one this morning.  I was worried that Kat’s hair would freeze while waiting for the bus.  (Amazingly, they made the bus this morning – first time in 2 weeks.)

All I know is I thought I was going to freeze this morning taking Junie out.  She thought she was going to freeze too.  She’s buried under a blanket on the bean bag now in her little sweater.

December2010-23

That’s the picture for her blog post today as soon as I get it up.  Poor thing.  You guys haven’t seen her since Pato groomed her up a little bit the other day.  She couldn’t hardly see before.  Here’s a pic of her face the other day before grooming.

December2010-4

How about that for a changed dog?

You thought she was naked before.  :)   He trimmed her up as best as he could with the clippers we had and scissors.  She’s kind of got a modified version of a Chinese Crested’s traditional cut.  We just don’t have small enough clippers to get her face done really close.  I think she is adorable the way he did it.  So it works.  Here’s “her” telling the story of getting groomed the other day.

Either way, we were both freezing this morning.  I plan on staying inside and hibernating the rest of the day.  We’ll dream of going south, somewhere warm, like the Bahamas, where you can swim in the ocean on Christmas day.  (Best vacation ever, BTW.)

Other than that, it’s been pretty quiet around here.

Christiano has picked up the word stupid from Katiana who is constantly in trouble for calling somebody stupid.

Christiano says, stupid doggy.  Stupid mama.  Stupid daddy.  Stupid stupid stupid.

When he starts I say, Christiano???????!!!!!!!  He says, what?  Who is stupid?

Nobody.

Nobody stupid mama.

Good boy.

That puts an end to it for a couple of hours.

Katiana….that child.  When she calls someone stupid and I catch her, this is her response.

It was an accident!

Whatever.

Then she gets either time out…which she hates or her computer or something else taken away.  It’s usually whatever she is playing with at that moment in time that has the biggest impact.

Oh, and Nano started biting last night.

He pushed the step stool into the hallway and was turning the light off and on.  A – we couldn’t see. B – he was right by Woodstock’s cage.  You don’t put your fingers in his cage.  He is slightly cage territorial.  Kat knew this and went over and got Nano down.  (I was making supper.)  What did he do?  Bit her in the arm right as she was putting her arms around him.  She dropped him (not to far, it’s just a 2 step – step stool).  They were both crying.  Katiana had a nice mouth indentation on her arm.  Christiano was mad that he had to get down and even more mad when he got in trouble for biting.

By the time Pato got home I was all, he is your child.  Take him.  Get him away from me.  I had put him to sleep 3 times.  He had just woken up again, throwing himself all over the bed.  Head butting me in the mouth.  Done done done I tell.  Terrible two’s.  I cannot wait until these are over.  Pato pointed out that he was starting to get a runny nose and cough when he was holding him.  Can’t wait until that’s over either.  Back to welcome to winter in Iowa.  The time of year when I am at the doctor’s office with one of 4 kids at least once time a week.

Blah.

Have a great day!
