Love Me Some Real Housewives Of New Jersey

Posted by Heather Manning On September - 17 - 2010

You know I do.  Love all the ladies. (Well, minus one who I am so glad is not going to be on the show next season.)  And you know how I am trying so hard to get votes for Alyce before the voting ends on 9/19 right??  I tweeted it to Teresa Giudice, Caroline Manzo, Dina Manzo, and Ashley Holmes.  Just for fun.  Didn’t think I would get a response, right?  Look what I found in my @replies -

teresatweet

How fun is that?

So there you have it, Teresa voted for Alyce, you should too(Not saying that Teresa endorses Alyce here.  Vote because you think Alyce is a little cutie too!)

While I’m talking about Teresa, I want her cookbook -

SkinnyItalian

Skinny Italian: Eat It and Enjoy It Live La Bella Vita and Look Great, Too!

I keep seeing people tweet to her that they are losing weight using the recipes.  Need all the help I can get!  The majority of the reviews on it are good too.  Thinking I might buy that.

To the FTC (wo)man:  Teresa does not endorse Alyce nor did she ask me to endorse her cookbook.  I received nothing at all from this post, well, except a little bit of “OMG Teresa answered me!” when I saw the tweet! :)   I’m a nerd, what can I say?

NOTE – Just 2 more days to vote for Alyce in the Kid Of The Week Photo Contest. Please vote for her!  If she wins it’ll be $1000 prize to put in her college fund.  Thank you!

Just another typical morning over here in The 24/7 Mom Land.

I don’t understand what happened actually.  I didn’t actually look at the alarm when it went off so I’m not sure if it went off at the right time or not.  I got the kids up.  Got their clothes out when they were in the shower.  Made my coffee.  Had a disagreement with Woodstock because he wanted out and I just wanted to get the bowl out of his cage.  He bit me.  I got over it.  We’re fine now.

Kat got out of the shower, got dressed.  I looked at the clock and had slight heart failure.  It was 8:10 and Jordan still wasn’t out of the shower.  The bus comes at 8:20.  I’m not sure how it got to be 8:10 without me realizing it.  I mean, I wasn’t even blogging (telling the truth, I swear!).  Nothing to distract me.  Well, except for trying to figure out how to integrate Tweet Deck and Google Buzz so that I could tweet longer messages.  But really, that wasn’t too distracting.

Surely he could not have been in the shower for over an hour without me getting impatient with him.

He hopped out and started his morning dawdling.  Son, you have 8 minutes until the bus gets here.

SLOOOOOOOOOW child.

I ran around trying to help Katiana find her tennis shoes because we both realized at the last minute that today was PE day.  Then I went to get their cold lunches out of the fridge.  Pato had made them last night after I took a hydrocodone for the pain in my neck still and passed out.  They felt really light.  I opened them up and all it was was a sandwich and apple sauce.  I don’t know what you put in your kids’ lunches, but I always put in a sandwich of some type (Jordan has been using whole wheat pita bread, Kat regular bread because she hates pita bread.), apple sauce or pudding, fruit (today was grapes), a cheese stick, and a few baked crackers of some type.  Plus they have their water in their thermos and one of those little crystal lite packages.  Jordan gets the peach green tea for metabolism, and Kat just gets raspberry ice.  There wasn’t water in their thermoses either.  (I always put the water in at night so that it gets nice and cold overnight in the fridge.)  I had to fix their lunches, add the water, get some ice cubes in the thermos so the water would be kind of cold at lunch time, and then I heard the bus go by.

Jordan didn’t even have his shirt on yet.

Crud.

Hurried them up, got them out in the car, and I just dropped them off at school.  Usually they eat breakfast at school (when the bus takes them), and that’s due to the fact that Jordan dawdles so much, he doesn’t have time to eat it before he leaves.  I’m not sure if they had a chance to eat breakfast this morning.  I told Kat to grab two granola bars to eat on the way and she said there wasn’t any left.  Jordan ate them all.

FRUSTRATED

Leaving the topic of me being stressed out, who watched The Vampire Diaries last night?  I was all stressing because I could not get the antenna just right.  Channel 23 was not coming in.  No signal found.  No signal found.  Then Jordan noticed that channel 19, which doesn’t even have the same call letters at 23 was coming in as 23.  So, happy happy me, I got to watch it without having to buy it on iTunes.  Yippie!

All I have to say is Caroline is a messy eater.

EW!

It wasn’t my favorite episode, but it was good none the less.

Jordan has soccer practice tonight, which should be a blast for the poor kid.  His glasses still aren’t in yet.  If they don’t come in today he’s going to have to go the weekend without them and that’s including his game on Sunday.  I don’t know how one plays goalie when one can’t see.  I guess one will find out soon enough.

Kat’s got a game tomorrow then I have my cousin’s bridal shower, which I thought was last Saturday, but is actually today.  I think my niece’s first birthday party is Sunday afternoon after Jordan’s game.  I can’t believe Cambria is 1. And Mikayla will turn 2 next weekend.

Then I start thinking of my kids – Alyce will be 4 in December – Nano will be 2 in February, Kat will be 7 in April, and the kicker – Jordan is going to be 12 in February.  I am not old enough to have a 12 year old.  Sorry!

Time flies!

Have a great day!
