Not Everyone's Mama

So, you know I’ve been watching The Vampire Diaries: The Complete First Season the last few days.  Having a Vamp marathon if I do say so myself.  I have seen quite a few episodes, but because we don’t have cable, I’ve missed some here and there.  I have been in HEAVEN watching new episodes to me and rewatching others.  Rewatching makes me go back and forth between choosing my favorite vampire.  Choosing was hard in the beginning.  I’m on a Stefan kick right now.  Seriously, Paul Wesley plays that part so well.  But, Ian Somerhalder has perfect timing, comedic or otherwise, playing Damon. Most of my absolute favorite quotes belong to moments between Stefan and Damon. 

Damon: It’s good to be home. I think i might stay awhile, this town could use a bit of a wake up call, don’t you think?

Stefan: What are you up to Damon?

Damon: That’s for me to know and for you to dot dot dot.

Damon: We’re a team. We could travel the world together. We could try out for The Amazing Race!

Bonnie: I’m gonna scream.
Damon: No. Don’t do that. Let’s stay on point.

You just have to hear him.  The sarcasm is dripping and like I said the the timing is perfecto!

I am going to the casino with my mom and dad today.  That’s first on my agenda.  I need a break…..from my husband.  No really, from the kids.  Pato’s not high on my list of people I’m happy with right now.  All because I told him I was getting ready right when Nano woke up.  I got in the shower.  Got out, started doing my make up.  He was still sleeping.  Katiana came in and asked for juice.  Nano comes walking in with his glass from last night, he must have hid it somewhere because I couldn’t find it while I was looking for hidden sippies last night before I did dishes.  I told Kat to ask her dad to get it.  Come on, it was 11.  Not exactly getting up with the birds.

Pato and I both saw Nano had his glass from last night.  He started going off on me about not being able to get him a new glass of juice, blah blah blah.  May I remind you darling, when he woke up, I told you I was going to get ready to leave.  I just got out of the shower, am doing my make up.  When did I have time to get them juice? 

Oh have to do your make up.  So much more important than getting your kids something to drink so your son isn’t walking around with a glass from last night. 

Yes darling, so is sleeping until noon.

One day, one day a week I am able to get a little me time, not have kids help me put on my make up.  One day he has off and he can’t get out of bed to help me.

I love him, I truly do, but that whole sleeping all day on his day off thing is getting really really REALLY old.

Alright, so mom and dad are on their way to get me.

Then we are going to my Uncle’s house.  His bar-b-que-ing tonight as a thank you to everyone who helped them move to their new house.  I didn’t help them move, but I was told by dad that I get to go by default since I am his daughter.    Love bar-b-que.

And it’s always fun to get together with family.

No plans for tomorrow.

Or Monday.

Maybe we can go to mom and dad’s for labor day.  I am pretty sure Pato has to work, as usual.

The kids also have Tuesday off.  It’s data day.  They just started school and already have a non-holiday day off.  What is data day?  Do they spend the day imputing data?

No clue.
