And it has been a busy one! I got the kids up and dressed, then woke up the youngest 2 and Pato so we could all go up to the school. Want to see my 1st and 5th graders?
Jordan
Katiana
Alyce had to sneak into a picture.
At the school in their friendship garden.
Nano was still half asleep when I was taking pictures so he make an appearance. Notice Alyce’s lack of shoes? She wanted to wear her new flip flops and we had to tear the car apart to find them. She kicked them off after soccer practice last night and they disappeared.
Katiana and I decided not to wear the dress that I made her the first day. She has PE today and I didn’t think the white tennis shoes quite went with that dress. This is the Justice dress I told you she HAD to have because it’s identical to her cousin’s. Much cuter on her than on the hanger and I’m digging the black leggings with it. Her cousin wore the dress with grey leggings and I didn’t like it at all.
After dropping Jordan and Kat off we went to Perkins and had breakfast. We ran into the kids’ doctor and I told him that I’d see him on Friday for Christiano’s 18 month appointment (can you believe he’s 18 months already??). He leaned over and whispered to Christiano, only 1 shot, buddy, one shot. AGH! I hate shots.
Then we headed over to Dunhams to get soccer cleats and a I don’t know what you call it, personal protector for Jordan. He keeps taking kicks right to the private area and we thought that might help him. I just about died because I had to ask where they were. I said, um, I’m going to die of embarrassment asking for this for my son, but where do I find……the older guy said, over on the far wall. Thank you so much!
We also grabbed Kat a pair of Sketchers for PE. Pato hadn’t gotten her the gym shoes she needed yet. The ones in the picture were a pair of $10 Walmart cheapies he grabbed last night to make do for today. They are cute, but Walmart tennis shoes last 2 months or so on my kids where as Sketchers and Adidas almost make it through the whole year.
After that we came home, I took the car seats out, laid down the seats in my car, and FINALLY went to get my birds from my sister in law. She bird sat while we were in Ohio. I couldn’t get them before today because the 3 cages don’t fit in the car with my 3 car seats. I am ok leaving Jordan with the youngest 3 at 11 while I run to the gas station down the street to grab milk, but while I run over to the next town, I just didn’t have a good feeling about that. I had to wait for Pato’s day off. I missed my birds, but Shelley took good care of them for me. She even sent me pictures while I was gone.
I <3 her.
Then I came home again and got the birds in the house, fed, watered, gave Woodstock and Twinkle a little out of cage time, and then I headed to the grocery store. We’ve been eating out for 2 days. Nothing in the house because I didn’t go before we left, not wanting to leave food in the fridge while we were gone. I’ve got stuff to make supper again. YAY!
Now I am back home and staying in. The kids will get off the bus at about 4:30 and I am calling it an early night tonight.
I am so thankful we don’t have soccer again until Friday. Last night was a MESS. I thought Jordan had his normal practice at 6 and Kat’s just happened to start at 6 also. I was going to drop Jordan off at 5:45, run to Kat’s, watch her, leave, and be back by 7 to pick Jordan up. My alarm on my phone went off at 5:15 saying that no, Jordan had a special practice last night with our professional coach at 5:30 at the fields where we play, not the fields where we practice. I stepped up the getting ready, got the kids in the car, jetted to his practice, got there 10 minutes late. Had to drive 20 minutes over to where Katiana practices, while she was practicing, I went and grabbed supper, came back, picked her up, and flew to get Jordan. They both were done at 6:30, so Jordan was sitting and waiting for me when I got there.
That, my friends, was a pain the tooshki.
I am off to do something productive, I am sure!
Have a great day!
