Hopefully next week when school starts. I’m finally starting to feel better. I still can’t hear out of my left ear, but I’m thinking that will take time. Alyce’s eye is back to normal. YAY! And Jordan hasn’t complained about his ear in a few days, so that’s good too.
Remember I told you about maintenance showing up Friday while I was sicker than a dog, had been in bed for almost a week, and no one had done anything in this house? It was trashed. Kitchen floor needed swept, scrubbed, dishes needed done, living room had toys EVERYWHERE, it needed vacuumed. I mean, it was a mess. I was horribly embarrassed, tears kind of embarrassed. If you’ve followed my blog for awhile, you know how strict they are here, inspecting the whole complex every couple of months. I apologized up and down, explained to him how sick I’d been, no problem, no problem. Don’t worry about it.
Guess there was a problem.
He ran down and told management.
They showed up Monday, when I still couldn’t stand for long, but was starting to get things caught up. Starting to – like I’d done 2 loads of dishes. I wouldn’t let the lady in. I told her that I had been sick for over a week, my husband works from 9:30 AM until midnight most nights, and that though he tries, he’s tired when he gets home.
Blah blah blah.
She’ll be back tomorrow to check.
I am so mad. Kiss my what?
It took you 5 month. FIVE MONTHS to get me a new microwave. You STILL haven’t fixed my shower door or the bar that goes across my refrigerator shelf that I told you about FIVE MONTHS ago and have repeatedly requested it to be fixed, but when I’m sick, I mean truly sick, not able to stand, breaking out into sweats, dizzy, nauseated, not able to stand without holding on to something, ear drum ruptured, lost my hearing, etc, you hustle right down here?
Mad. Mad. Mad.
Needless to say, we have now stepped up our game. I want to buy a house. We have 2 in the kids’ district we are looking at and then a bunch by where Pato works. I don’t want to switch districts, but what do you do? I want out of this place. 6 years is 6 years to long to put up with this stuff. One of the only perks of living in an apartment is being able to call maintenance when something is broke. Takes them 5 months to fix it now. Not worth it at all.
Done done done.
We’re supposed to be leaving for a quick trip to Ohio tonight. Driving overnight, arriving in the morning, then packing up and leaving there on Sunday morning. I need to be back here with the kids having a good night’s sleep on Sunday night because we have open house at school on Monday, then first day is on Wednesday.
My mom is coming to guard my apartment from overzealous managers who have been known to overstep their bounds when no one is home before.
Though, the kitchen is done now and I just have the bathrooms to do and get laundry done before we leave so Jordan has his favorite shorts.
I am still so mad and I saw her on Monday. Seriously, I have been stewing. You know all those fabulous things that come to you AFTER someone has walked away? Yeah, then they all come.
In other news, I got both of kids’ soccer schedules. Both of them moved up a division, that means Jordan now has 2 practices a week – during a few weeks there are 3, plus games on the weekends (one weekend he alone has 2 games). Katiana has 1 practice a week, most of the time, there are a couple of weeks where she has 2, plus she has more games this season. I am going to be all over the place.
But, that means more pictures! I’ve been lazy with my camera lately, speaking of which, I need to charge my battery for the trip.
On that note, I need to clean off my desk before the drill sargeant’s get here tomorrow.
Then I need to do 2 reviews that I should have done before I got sick.
If I owe you an email, I am so so so very far behind. I barely checked into my computer at all. I laid in bed with my ipod touch and my phone, staying in contact via Facebook and Twitter. But, I don’t download my main email to either because I get so many “so and so commented on the group”, “started a discussion” and various other ad emails that I don’t want to clog my phone up with those. If you need to get in contact with me while I’m gone, you can use either of these emails – admin[at]digiscrapping[dot]net or heatheripodmail[at]gmail[dot]com. One goes to my phone, the other obviously to my ipod.
I’m not sure what my internet access is going to be like while gone, but I’ll always get my phone email.
And don’t be coming to “visit” me while we’re gone, my mom and/or dad will be here, letting management in, bringing in mail, etc. The place won’t be empty. Just had to put that out there. Not that I have stalkers or anything.
Have a great day!
