I swear everything has sprung a leak. Ok, it’s actually only my air conditioner and my toilet.
I didn’t notice the air conditioner was leaking until I stepped in smooshy carpet. BTW, spell check says that smooshy isn’t word. I say it is.
2 nice leaks running down my wall.
I took off the cover and filter and ran those through the dishwasher in case that was what was causing it. It wasn’t.
While that was happening, Pato discovered that when you flush the toilet in our bathroom, water comes gushing out of the bottom.
Anything else want to go wrong?
I called maintenance, not once, but twice.
They still haven’t come.
Want to see the set up for my air conditioner leaks?
That’s the first leak, it’s the biggest.
After I put all that in place, I noticed a second leak.
Yes, those are paper plates, cut up and taped to lead the water to the bucket.
I keep having to retape because the tape gets wet and doesn’t stick as well.
I have fans blowing at my wet carpet.
Where is maintenance?
It’s almost 4, the apartment office closes at 5. This must not be considered an emergency.
Though my bathroom smelling like stale pee is an emergency to me.
Not thrilled.
Thought I’d throw up my latest batch of bird bread for anyone bird owners out there. My birds went crazy for it this morning, of course, they always go crazy for it, so that’s not really new.
Before cooked
After cooked
I’m getting some lovely lighting on my pictures from my phone lately. I think I need to clean the lens.
Here’s the recipe.
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups corn meal
1/4 cup baby rice cereal
a cup of oatmeal
1 egg ground up, shell and all
a pinch of baking soda
1 3/4 cups organic apple juice
1 or 2 size 3 baby dinners (tonight I used chicken and noodle) (If I use 2, I use 1 1/2 cups apple juice)
The rest is where it gets fun, I don’t measure out the rest, just throw it in.
I drizzle in honey, shake in cinnamon, throw in some pellets/seed/millet whatever I have right there in mass quantity – I don’t want to run low on them when I go to feed them the next day.
I put in honeydew, cantaloupe, peaches, pineapple, strawberries that came from my friend’s garden, and banana for fruits
Corn, green beans, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, brussle sprouts, watercress, and dried chili peppers for veggies. (I think there are lima beans in it too.)
I also threw in a couple of handfuls of raisins.
Stir it all up – I went a tad overboard- had trouble stirring it.
350 degrees for 40 minutes and it’s done
I used to run all the veggies and fruits through the food processor before I cooked it, but my budgies are wierd. Smashed up, they change the color of the bread, and they didn’t appreciate the blueberries turning their bread purple one time.
Instead, I run their bread through the food processor in the morning. They like the bread crumbled up – they throw the chunks to the bottom – so doing it that way makes them happy, everything is in budgie/lovie bites after the food processor.
I make mine in a 9 X 13 pan, cut it into squares, freeze it. Then I pull a few pieces out each morning (I have small birds) and it lasts about a week.
Have a great day!
