Well first I have to tell you how Christiano’s appointment went yesterday.
At 15 months he is 29 1/2 lbs and 35 1/2 inches long.
That is up almost 4 lbs from 12 months and almost 5 inches.
My doctor was looking at his stats and said, I don’t think he’s grown that much since 12 months, has he? He got out the measuring thing himself, yep. He has grown that much in 3 months.
That child is going to be taller than me by the time he is 5. He already comes up to Alyce’s chin and she’s not short either. She’s always been up in the 90th percentile for height. That didn’t graph it for me, so I’m not sure where he’s landing at, but that was quite the growth spurt.
Makes sense to me though. The last month he has been incredibly cranky and not sleeping well. I was suspecting a growth spurt. I just didn’t expect that much.
Nano was so not impressed by the MMR, Dtap, and Chicken Pox vaccines he got. Don’t blame him. He was a little miffed at me too when it was over. I had to hold him down. Don’t blame him again. He finally started giving me kisses again about 30 minutes after it was all over.
No fever yet, but I’ve been giving him Tylenol fairly regularly because the MMR and Chicken Pox are live vaccines that can make you feel just miserable.
I started having problems with my Blackberry (again) at the doctor’s office. Besides the freezing up, trackball getting stuck in place, crappy pictures, having to do battery pulls all the time, it started going wonky with the keys. When I hit the track ball to go to any other app, it would take me to my contacts. When I hit the delete button, it would type in ever letter of the alphabet. I brought Christiano home and headed over to Sprint to get it fixed.
While there, I told the lady how much I hated my phone. Hated it. Told her all the problems I had had. Told her how I had wanted the Palm Pre all along and that when Pato went to get it for me, they were out of the Pre and rather than wait for them to get more, they talked him into the BlackBerry Curve 8330
.
She said, you know, if you want to switch your phone to being the primary line, you can get a Pre today. I told them that they were supposed to switch my line to being the primary back in DECEMBER. It wasn’t never done. Sprint, I have a love/hate relationship with you.
I now am the proud owner of this –
Oh Palm Pre, how I’ve drooled over you since you first came out. I’ve wanted this phone more than I’ve ever wanted a phone. In fact, I can’t think of a time that I actually wanted a specific phone so much. Yeah, I thought the razr was cool when I picked it out, and the Instinct was nifty, when I picked it out, but the Palm Pre
I have actually read reviews on, gone to play with over and over again at Sprint. I wanted this phone so bad. And now, it’s mine. Yippie!
The honeymoon period has been great so far, you know that whole day I’ve had it. I’m anticipating loving it. My Palm Centro was the only other phone that I’ve never had a problem with. My Blackberry was so bad that I was going to hook my centro back up soon. Motorola, Samsung, every other phone I have had has had problems from charging ports breaking to freezing constantly. Palm has been awesome for me.
Remember how I was always apologizing for the picture quality on my Blackberry when I’d post a pic? Check this out!
I should say, yes those are Jordan’s boxers and shorts next to Kat. He’s taking forever to get ready.
That is a picture taken on my new phone. Compare that to the pictures in my post from yesterday. Those were from my Blackberry. Picture quality is huge to me. Almost more important than not dropping calls. I wouldn’t say I’m a photographer, but it’s my hobby. I’m not great at it, but I love it. To have a phone that gets decent pictures when I don’t have my big camera on me rocks! I am so happy! The only downside is there isn’t a spot for an SD card. That being said, this phone has 8GBs of memory. I never filled up my 2 GB SD card in my other phone. I always email my pictures to myself anyway so that I have a copy on my hard drive. I can just delete them off the phone when it’s full.
Now I am hoping the $100 rebate gets here within 6 weeks so I can put it towards my bill.
That part isn’t quite as exciting.
Ok, Jordan’s going to miss the bus if I don’t start directing him.
Have a great day!
