Congratulations to Diane and thank you to everyone who entered!

jennifershaw Love Broke Through by Jennifer Shaw

Can I start this out by saying, it takes a lot to impress me musically.  I’ve mentioned before that I started out as a vocal performance major myself but never finished due to my need to continuously have children.  No, for real, I was going to go back after Jordan was in school, but, then I had more.  Back to my point, I am so picky and I am completely amazed sometimes at what becomes popular.  I have lots of music that I enjoy, that I like to sing a long to, but it takes a lot for me to say wow.  Jennifer Shaw – WOW.  I love her voice.  She hits these high notes that you would expect out of a soprano, but she has such a gorgeous lower range too that would be suited to an alto.  Her tone is so rich and just beautiful!

She actually started out playing the piano.  At the urging of a choral director she auditioned for a vocal scholarship also and received one.  She has a Master’s Degree in vocal performance from the Manhattan School of Music.  The Lord led her many places including performing with the Columbus Symphony and later appeared at Carnegie Hall. She became a Professor of Music for Cedarville University as well as the music director for her church.

Take a listen to her.  Her voice is just so beautiful.

I could listen to this CD over and over and over again.  In fact, I have.  It’s been in my car CD player and in my computer non-stop.  I need to just put it on my iPod.  On my list of things to do.  If you go to her website, you’ll hear a few samples of her songs.  The very first one that you hear is my absolute most favorite one on the album.  It’s just beautiful.  The message, the notes she hits, her tone.  Absolutely gorgeous!

I am so happy that I get to share this CD with one of my readers!  One of you will win Love Broke Through by Jennifer Shaw.

June 30 cannot come soon enough!  Jordan is excited.  School will be out and he can come to this with me, unlike New Moon where he had school the next day and I wouldn’t let him go.  Cannot wait!

How many other Twi-moms have that day penciled in?

We won’t need no vigrx plus that night. Edward is hot hot hot!  Ok, we don’t actually use it to begin with. :)   Just threw it out there.

March2010-26

Oh yeah, he’s styling! And protecting those little eyes that I adore!

March2010-27

I love these sunglasses!  I will say that Christiano is able to take them off himself, BUT he doesn’t if I put them on him when he is distracted.  Until someone points out to him (thank you Alyce) that he has them on, he leaves them on.  There’s not much he can’t get off if he puts his mind to it, even a certain brand of baby shoe that stumped my other 3, he can take off.  Little poo.

These are sturdy too.  When he does take them off, he throws them wherever he might be, at the car window, to the floor, they haven’t broken or gotten scratched!  That is huge to me!  Do you know how many times I buy the kids sunglasses and find them in pieces all over the place?

They have Baby Banz available from 0 – 5 years.  They also have the Ultimate Banz (0-5), Junior BanZ (4-10), Retro Banz (you must check out those image pics!  I want to get pairs for the girls!), Swim Goggles, Adventure Banz that are clear for kids who have special needs,  ski goggles, and those are just the glasses!  Check them out, they have protective clothing for the sun and other accessories also!

The Adventure Banz that I got for Christiano?  $17.  I spend more than that in one summer replacing cheap-o sunglasses for just one of my kids.

Love these!  Like I said, I want to get the girls the Retro Banz.  Those will stay in my purse also for when they need them.  I don’t want any lost Baby Banz, and let’s face it, my kids tend to lose things.

Mentioning my purse, that reminded me, when I catch Christiano digging in my purse (which he is so not supposed to do), usually he’s digging to find his Baby Banz.  He’ll pull them out and try to put them on himself.  He knows what they are for.

I love them!

disclaimer

Thank you so much to Baby Banz for letting Christiano try their Adventure Banz!  I love them, Christiano loves them.  They are such a cute fun way to protect those eyes that I want to last him forever!

Frownies

Posted by Heather Manning On April - 23 - 2010

I was able to review Frownies recently.  I was sent their Facelift In A Bag.

faceliftinabag

I’ve been using it for quite awhile now and may I say, I adore their Immune Perfect!

Clinical trials reveal 98% of women who tested FROWNIES Immune Perféct for 30 days saw a visible difference in texture, firmness and clarity of their skin. Skin trial participants said Immune Perfect was the best wrinkle cream they have every used. Immune Perféct is a gel cream with bio-active plant based antioxidants to protect and build the skin while providing continuous active hydration. A supply of beneficial nutrients helps keep the skin and cellular layers hydrated and younger looking.

I also really like their ph balancing complexion wash.  My skin feels wonderful after I use it.

Their Rose Water Hydrator Spray!  I love it!  Honestly, I feel like I’m from the Deep South back in the day.  Back when ladies wore big hoop skirts and fanned themselves under the magnolia tree.  It feels so good when I spray it on!

The combination of these I think has really helped my pores.  On my nose it was horrible.  They were huge.  When I put on my concealer, foundation, and powder, with or without a primer, the make up seems to sink into my pores and enunciates them.  I hated it!  I’ve noticed that that doesn’t happen since I have been using all of those products.  Plus, my skin doesn’t feel as dry, something I have a huge problem with.

Now, I don’t have too many wrinkles yet, though they are creeping up. I do though have some very deep ones in between my eyebrows from not wearing my sunglasses when I should and squinting while driving.  I hate them.  In fact, they are the whole reason that I cut my bangs.  Something to cover the wrinkles with.

I wish my change had been as dramatic as the changes of the people on the website because they look awesome!  I tried to use the patches overnight because I don’t have time to wear them for 3 hours a day when I’m not sleeping.  When I would wake up and have pulled them off.  I don’t honestly know how long I wore them each night, so it’s my own fault that I didn’t get the effect that I wanted.

Other than that, I think this set is awesome!  I just wish I could leave the patches on while I’m sleeping because I’ve noticed a light change in the wrinkles, I think if I could get them to stay on my face (not their fault because they are on secure when I finally go to sleep) I think they would do what they say they do.  Their products average 4 to 5 stars on Amazon.

So if you have wrinkles and you’re fingers don’t climb up to your face while you’re sleeping like I do, you might give this a try before trying an injection like botox which I totally would have considered if we had the fundage for it.  I will continue to buy the Immune Perfect, PH-Balancing Complexion Wash, and the Rose Water Hydrator Spraybecause those are working for me.  At least what I have isn’t getting worse.

Need A Louder Alarm Clock

Posted by Heather Manning On April - 23 - 2010

Now that our new bed is in place, the night stand has to be on Pato’s side instead of at the bottom of the bed on my side.  That means the alarm clock is on the other side of the bed.

Two days in a row now I have missed the alarm clock.  I swear Pato turns it off.  It’s Jordan’s alarm clock and it’s not very loud. Usually I’m a really light sleeper and everything wakes me up, from Pato rolling over to a kid sneezing in a room down the hall.  I don’t understand why I keep sleeping through it.  Our alarm clock died a sad death about 2 weeks ago and we “borrowed” Jordan’s because he never gets up to it anyway.  I always wake him up.

He’s so funny with it though.  Mom! I set my alarm for 7, you don’t have to get me up tomorrow.  I get up at 6:50 – 7, the alarm starts going off.  What do you know, it’s a Pato Jr with the ability to sleep through any alarm clock that dare to disturb his slumber.  It’s hard to get him up because his bed is so hgh in the air.  I can’t just shake him like I do Kat.  Not shake, gently move back and forth. :)   I have to climb the ladder to reach him.

Back to this morning.  I had the alarm set for 7.  Pato’s phone started ringing at 8.  I said, what time is it?  He said almost 8.  Crap.  The kids are supposed to be out in line for the bus at 8:15.  They both needed showers.  Guess who went to school all disgusting?  My kids.  Jordan piled on the deodorant.  I splashed some body spray on Katiana, hoping that she didn’t sweat too badly at soccer practice last night and sent them out in the rain to the bus stop.  Actually, I also fought with Katiana for 5 minutes because she wanted to wear a skirt, Katiana ALWAYS wants to wear a skirt.  I had gotten her out *gasp* leggings because it’s raining and cold and icky out.  Put the stinking leggings on, put your t-shirt on, put your hoodie on, and go to school.  You don’t have to be a fashionista every single day.  It’s ok to dress down every once in awhile  chicky poo.

I’m glad tomorrow is Saturday and I don’t have to officially get out of bed until 9.  Pato has time to stop and get me a loud alarm clock that I won’t sleep through.  Kat has a game at 11 and we have the whole once every 5 years or so get our entire family together for a huge family picture at 4:30.  There are 19 of us now.  Our family just keeps multiplying.  I’ll take some of the blame for that with my 4 kids.  My brother Josh has 3, my brother Steve has 2, and my sister Abby has 1.  (Speaking of my brother Josh – Happy Birthday JJ!  Welcome to the 30′s with Steve and me!)  I think I just had Katiana and Jordan in the last family picture and I had on this mustard colored cardigan that I absolutely adored, until I saw myself in the picture and realized the mustard colored cardigan gave me about 50 extra pounds in the picture.  Not pretty.  I haven’t worn it since then.  It’s hanging in my closet though.  I’ll be wearing a black dress I think, paired with the necklace that Steam Designs sent me.  I can plan my family’s outfits easy around black.  I think I’ll be good.

We’re hoping the rain holds off.  With 19 of us, it’s hard to find an indoor studio that has room for all of us.  And an indoor place like the botanical center is over the cost of what we want to pay just to go in, snap a few pictures, and leave.  We’re heading to a park near us and praying that we don’t get soaked.  The weather forecast calls for rain later in the evening, but I don’t remember them calling for rain this morning either, and my children are now soaked.  Well, Jordan probably is.  Katiana grabbed her umbrella on the way out and I wouldn’t let Jordan take Alyce’s umbrella.  He doesn’t know where his is at.  Alyce has been waiting forever to use her umbrella in the rain and if we leave today at all she finally can use it.

I’ll leave you with Alyce’s new word.

Mom, look at all my money in my change purse. I keep my money in my change purse.  I’m going to put my crystal in my change purse too.  I’m so …….. wait for it …… sensible.

(Don’t you love it when 3 year olds come up with words like that?)

You’re so sensible?

Yep, I’m so so so sensible.

Later on when I repeated it to mom on the phone and we’re rolling, she said, yep.  I’m sensible.  I’m growing up just like daddy.

Oh, come on.  If you want to be sensible, you need to grow up just like mommy.

Maybe not.

Maybe you should grow up like Jordan.  He seems to be a little more sensible than the rest of us. :)

Have a great day!

ETA – It’s been awhile since I posted something from my favorite man (of course it’s because he’s a huge advocate, has nothing to do with the fact that is his absolutely gorgeous and moves like no other man) in the world besides my husband, so let’s just add a little hotness to this morning –

Alright, I feel better, don’t know about you all.
