I am a Christian, tattoo loving, paranormal believing, pierced up, supernatural watching, vampire diaries adoring, soccer coaching, animal helping, Earth saving, twimom to 4 living a crazy life I love. I am definitely Not Everyones Mama.
Yep, you knew I was up for it right? I’m sure I will now be awarded it when the other moms all gather to vote. I mean, once they see this, how can they not vote for me.

That totally backfired on me. We’re at Wal-Mart, shopping as we wait for my oil to get changed in my car. We stop in the jewelry department to see if Margo is there. We <3 Margo. She pierced both of my girls’ ears at 10 weeks. She’s such a neat lady. Jordan asks if he can get his ear pierced.
I know, you are thinking oh H*$$ no, no way would I get my 11 year old boy’s ear pierced, right? Well, I thought I wouldn’t be the bad guy for once. I said, call your dad (my ex-husband), if he says yes, sure. I thought for sure he would say no. I’ve joked before about getting Jordan’s ears pierced, just to rile him up and he always says no.
Jordan calls his dad. Dad, can I get my ear pierced?
It’s up to you Jordan.
My mouth dropped.
It’s up to him?
*sigh* At least it’s not a tattoo right? (I have nothing against tattoos, I have 3 myself.) Meaning, it’s not permanent. Well, it is after awhile, but he can take it out if he decides he doesn’t like it. I have 7 holes in my left ear and 2 that are open still in my right and no one even notices them unless I put an earring in them. So, that’s a plus.
Pato is SO mad at me. I tried the old, honey, you have both ears pierced routine. He said, yeah and I got them done at 25 NOT 11.
Dude, his dad said he could.
He’s not answering calls from me now.
Oops.
Choose your battles. Choose your battles. That’s my mantra. He wants to grow his hair out. That’s fine. As long as he keeps it neat and clean. Now the earring. Keep it clean so it doesn’t get infected, I guess.
I’m sure his teacher is going to be so happy with me on Monday.
Have a great evening!
ETA – Just noticed my face breaking out – stress? Children will do that, if this keeps up I’ll need to invest in the best acne face wash stocks. It’ll surely go up if I keep breaking out.
Presenting a 13-DVD series from the creator of VeggieTales, Phil Vischer! Each DVD is filled with original music, animation, puppets, and creative writing that will teach kids about God and his Word.
The first DVD introduces kids to the Bible and the book of beginnings, Genesis. Kids will learn about the key people in Genesis and the important lessons their stories teach us. Approximately 56 minutes.
The second DVD introduces kids to the book of Exodus: the oppression of the Israelites and the birth and rise of God’s chosen leader, Moses. The DVD also answers the question, who wrote the Bible? in a way kids can grasp. Approximately 56 minutes.

I adored this! I am a huge fan of VeggieTales. I mean, who doesn’t love that Larry the Cucumber, but What’s In The Bible is not VeggieTales. It’s definitely it’s own series. And it’s wonderful! Phil Vischer is a genius when it comes to taking something that is hard for kids to understand (ie: the Old Testament, which can be difficult for an adult at times) and turning it into something that is so much fun. Something they want to watch over and over again as they learn these important stories.
The puppets, oh the puppets. We’ve watched these DVDs probably 10 times since I received them, and I still laugh out loud. A little fun sarcasm gets me rolling every time. I think my favorite puppet is Sunday School Lady. She’s awesome.
I think this series is brilliant and I will be getting each new DVD as it comes out. There aren’t many series out where I buy each and everyone, but I love the message in this one and I love how they are going to go through each book.
In 1990, 24-year-old computer-animator Phil Vischer sat down to create a group of characters that could teach Christian values to kids in a delightfully different way. A tomato named Bob and a cucumber named Larry were born. VeggieTales would go on to revolutionize Christian filmmaking, selling more than 50 million videos and placing Phil’s faith-filled stories in one in every three American households with young children. Phil continues to pursue innovative new ways to integrate faith and storytelling through his new company, Jellyfish Labs. His projects include Jelly Telly, which provides faith-based daily programming via the internet at JellyTelly.com
I definitely recommend checking this out if you have young ones at home. Mine are 1, 3, almost 6, and 11 and all of them have enjoyed it. Even the baby stops to watch for a few minutes as he spins like a tornado through the living room.
I keep getting distracted from my review. We’re watching it again and I keep stopping to watch it. I think it’s wonderful for all ages. One similarity between VeggieTales and What’s In The Bible? Neither annoy me. We’ve talked about that in my other reviews. There is nothing more wonderful than finding a quality DVD with a good message for your children that doesn’t annoy the pants off the parents.
Another thing I really liked about What’s In The Bible is the fact that they don’t just emphasize the “big events” (ie: Johan and the whale). It goes through so much more than that. I love the big stories as much as everyone else, but the Bible is so much more than the huge events and it all ties together to give us the whole of God’s message.
