RIP Corey Haim

Posted by Heather Manning On March - 11 - 2010

I’m sure you’ve heard the news by now.  Corey Haim died yesterday.  I feel like a little piece of my childhood died yesterday.  Dramatic I know, but if NKOTB was my favorite group, Corey Haim was my favorite actor.  In fact, before my walls were plastered with Joe and NKOTB, they were plastered with posters of Corey Haim.  I always left one wall covered with pictures of him.

I think my all time favorite Corey Haim movie was License To Drive.  I loved the Lost Boys, but License To Drive was the one I watched over and over again.

I know he struggled with addiction for quite awhile but I always hoped he’d beat it and make a comeback someday.  Now someday is never going to come.  It’s just sad.

If you want to leave a message for Corey’s family, on his official page they are saying to leave it on his My Space page.

There have been some celebrity deaths that have made me sad, but I’ve had a few tears for Corey.  He struggled so much for the past few years and I just kept hoping that he’d get turned around and be truly happy again.

Corey, rest in peace.  I’ll miss you.  I hope that you have flown a way to a place where you just can be you with no stress, no struggles,  no pain, just happiness and peace.

If you want to read some celeb tributes to Corey, there are some on Twitter.  And you can follow the hashtag #RIPCoreyHaim

I just saw one tweet from Adrianne Curry.  Don’t know why I’m posting this because I don’t follow her and truly, I can’t stand the woman.

It was a loss of a beautiful life and we all know that he struggled with drug addiction – did she have to be so harsh about it?  When someone dies, have a little respect both for the person and for their family.

There, got myself a handy dandy graphic in case I ever want to swear.

Perez Hilton, another person I can’t stand has a graphic of all of her beautiful tweets in this post.  I don’t go to his site much, but I saw on twitter that he had a post for Adrianne and went to go read it.

Laura, I heard it was an accidental overdose. Anyway I had seen a few episodes of the two Coreys and he seemed out of control, high and on the road to destruction. Too bad he never could fight those demons.
