Project 365 Day 34 (for everyone else)

Posted by Heather Manning On February - 3 - 2010

cuz I missed yesterday and I realized it right when I got in bed and said, I am so not getting back out of bed.  Then today I got busy making the kids’ Valentine’s Day cards, and then Jordan’s appointment, then Christiano was running a slight fever, and threw up all over my bed.  If he does it again tomorrow we’re going to the Dr.

Just got my workout done after 3 interruptions of Nano waking up.  Thought I’d take a picture of the bane of my existence right now.  Actually, I lie.  As much as I am sweating and muscles are a little sore right now, I am LOVING the KettleWorX system I got.

So here is my new best friend, the kettlebell.

Project365-2010-34

Yeah, I know, it’s the 5 lb one.  I’ll grow up to the 10 lb one soon.  Don’t you be laughing at my weak muscles. The only muscle I have is in my left arm from carrying Nano around. :)

I’ll do a more in depth blog post tomorrow about my first week.

**CLOSED**Family Facts On-The-Go Organizer

Posted by Heather Manning On February - 3 - 2010

Congratulations to the winners: Julie, L, Abby Sleeth, and Misty Van Epps!

I will email you shortly for your mailing information.  You have 48 hours to contact me.

These will be coming from me, so they should get to you right away.

Thank you everyone for entering!

I used this random number generator.

Since the invention of smart phones, I will admit, I have not owned a calendar of any type.  How sad is that?

I missed having one so I checked out Family Facts. I loved the look of their On-The-Go Organizer and really wanted to review one.  Check it out:

2010 OTG standing(fortheweb)

2010 otg open with stickers-fortheweb

Is that not cool?  I got it the other day and I’ve been busy filling it up with everything I need to do.  I didn’t realize how much I missed actually writing things down.

This organizer has everything!

The ON-THE-GO Organizer and Planner is an easy-to-use personal organizer for managing your life along side your family’s busy life, while on the go. The vinyl binder is functional yet stylish and holds paper that measures 4.5 x 8.5. It comes complete with a weekly calendar, 80 formatted pages, over 300 stickers, pocket folders, business card holders, zippered vinyl pouch and a pen. The ON-THE-GO Organizer and Planner is very easy to use and small enough to take with you wherever you go.

My wallet doesn’t have spots for pictures in it, that’s besides the fact that if I stuck one more thing in it I would never get it shut.  How excited was I to find sleeves to put pictures in?  Very!

The pockets, oh the pockets, room for coupons, receipts, everything that I usually have floating around my purse.  This makes me so happy.

Annual pages to record birthdays on, plus all of the weekly calendar pages with plenty of room to write down all those ending dates of the giveaways, AND all of our appointments, lots of notepaper to jot down lists, stickers to mark doctor’s appointments, birthdays and more.  The clear vinyl cover ensures that nothing will get ripped up in my purse.  Plus the corners of the pages have a perforated tab to pull off at the end of the week so you can flip easily to the right day.

Bonus!  Comes with a pen.  A pen that shall always be in my organizer so that I can always find a pen.  Pens are hard to come by in my house.  I have children who think they are colors.

At the end of the year, you can just buy the replacement calendar and not have to trash the whole thing and start over.

Valentine’s Day Cards

Posted by Heather Manning On February - 3 - 2010

I’m in a hurry.  I spent the morning making the kids’ Valentine’s Day cards and now have to rush to get ready for Jordan’s counseling appointment.  Thought I’d share their cards as my blog post today.

VDay-Katiana-sm

For Kat’s I used the Kit Our Story by my wonderful friend Armina. The alpha is also by Armina, Zen & Now.  The font is actually my own.  I haven’t put it in the store since I took the font bag down a couple of months ago.  I need to do that.  It’s called Katiana’s Hand. It’s actually Kat’s handwriting made into a font, perfect for her card!

This is Jordan’s.  I used Another Day With You by Armina and Edeline.  I adore both of those women. The alpha on this one is Orange Crush.  The font on this one has the same story as Kat’s.  Haven’t gotten it into the store yet.  This one is called Jordan’s Hand and is his own handwriting.

I’m sure I’ll be back later with something to blog about.  Have to go jump in the shower!
