A Neat Story

Posted by Heather Manning On January - 5 - 2010

@Clairity2 was wondering last night if Twitter was slow last night and if she should start posting inspirational tidbits for our enjoyment.  I said, post away.  I need something to blog about tomorrow.  My kids were being boring good and not giving me much blog fodder yesterday.  She sent me this link.

It’s just about one of the neatest things I have heard someone say, and it came out of the mouth of a 14 year old.  To have that kind of (pardon my use of your name, but it is so perfect here) clarity and understanding at 14 is a rarity I would think.  And the ability to say it out loud to a teacher in front of peers, I am just really impressed.  What a lucky mama Clairity is!

Thank you Clairity for sharing Skye with us!

Want to help me?  See that button over in the side under Central Iowans?  If you’re not a NKOTB fan demanding them in your state then what is wrong with you want to demand them in mine?  We could use some votes.  Otherwise NY or Boston or one of the big states will slaughter little ol’ Iowa.

I’ll let Donnie bribe you with, well, a big ole fluffy white thing (his words, not mine – and if you have kids behind you, it’s half a toosh, might not want to click just now.) –

That’s linked and all for you. If that don’t do it, I don’t know what will.

I’ve got my first non-digi giveaway up!  It’s five (count them: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) copies of the book The Survivors Club.  Go sign up!  I’ve got a few more book giveaways lined up this month, so keep checking back for those!

How about a picture of a rock star?

Nano-rockstar

That’s Nano after a bath last night.  Snapped with my cell phone.  He was just so darn cute and kissable and smelled so good I just couldn’t resist!

I’ll leave you with the Ricky Martin tweet of the day, which was really the only Ricky Martin tweet yesterday, unless you speak Spanish, which, I do, but not all of you do, so we’ll stick with his English one.

Have a wonderful day!  I need to go find a picture to take for today’s Project 365.

Hey thanks for the mention ;) Skye was thrilled when I told her after school yesterday that you were going to write about her. She wants me to thank you for her 5 minutes of fame.

Following you on Twitter now, always thought I was but turns out I must’ve missed adding you somehow.

That was very sweet – she must have a very good mom to teach her such positive stuff!
