Now That Is Love

Posted by Heather Manning On January - 2 - 2010

Pato’s ironing his clothes and he looks at me and says, will you start my car for me?  I looked at him and said, you’re crazy.  Fine.  I’ll do it.  I put on Jordan’s boots and a coat.  Step outside and I swear my nose hairs froze instantly.  Not to mention my exposed skin immediately showed signs of frost bite.

Do you see that?  -15.  NEGATIVE FIFTEEN.  When did I move to Alaska?  I thought for sure I’d see penguins waddling around in front of me when I opened the door. Nope, no penguins.  It’s too cold out for them.

That’s not counting the wind chill.  I think it’s so cold that Megan’s wind chill predictor is broken because it should be listed under humidity.  And notice that her low is way off.  It’s Saturday.  It’s lower than -7 right now.

Pato had better love me …….. lots.

(He’s driving a grand prix now, but he told me wants a Ferrari, then we’d have to be able to afford Ferrari parts because the only Ferrari we could afford is a run down one that wouldn’t be able to handle NEGATIVE FIFTEEN degrees.)

I am going nowhere today.  I am going to hibernate in the house with my children.  I can see Jordan as soon as he gets up asking to go outside and play.  (It’s the first thing he does when school is out.)  Sure, if you’d like your fingers to freeze and break off one by one like an icecycle. Which if someone would tell me how to spell, I’d be a lot smarter than I am right now.  My spell check is not helping.

Not much else happening. How can it be when it’s too cold for the penguins?  Last night I watched Craig Ferguson: A Wee Bit O’ Revolution.  I love me some Craig Ferguson.

craig ferguson 2

It might just be the Scot in me being called by the Scot in him.  Forget Brad Pitt, give me Craig.

The movie was good.  I laughed out loud, I blushed, I went *gasp* I can’t believe he just said that.  I loved it.

Have you read his books?  He’s got 2.

American On Purpose

Between The Bridge and The River

Loved both of them, but if I had to choose my favorite it would be Between The Bridge and The River.  Just when you thought the book was going one way, he’d switch it up and go the other way.  And the ending was not what I expected, how he brought all the characters together, it was brilliant.

I think we need petition Craig to get on Twitter.  Because, well, everyone I like should tell me all about their lives in 140 characters or less every day.

ETA – I emailed Craig and told him to Twitter –

Dear Craig,

I think you should get a Twitter account.  Why?  I can think of no good reason really.  Just that you should.  Because keeping your fans updated 140 characters or less would make us happy.  You like us happy, right?

Craig, we want you to tweet.

See, I even tweeted it – http://twitter.com/HeatherM74/statuses/7304689933

My tweet –

You should retweet it.  We can trend Craig.

I’m sure he’ll listen to me.  Watch the late late show, you might even see him laugh at me.  Which will in turn make me sad.

Got my day 2 of project 365 up!  I’m on a roll, 2 days in a row!

Done here?  Head over to Giveaway Chick.

Have a great day!

Project 365 Day 2

Project365-2010-2

Otherwise known as who friggin’ broke my dolphin’s nose off?  I collect dolphins.  I have for years.  I have a 6 foot tall curio cabinet full of them.  They’ve started taking over shelves on my walls.  But, I was missing the one dolphin that I wanted.  A dolphin made out of Alabama Clay. I’ve been begging every member in my family who lives in Alabama, begging every family member who goes down to visit my family in Alabama, and finally! my mom got me one 2 years ago when she went down to see my Aunt. I love it.  It has a cherished spot on a shelf with my angel made out of Alabama clay (Which I got 2 years before when my mom went down and no dolphins were to be found).  I decided they would be the subjects of my picture today.  I go to dust them off a little so this wouldn’t be a study of the dust in my house and find my dolphin has a chipped nose and tail.  Someone is in trouble.  If whoever did it would have told me when it happened I could have found the pieces and super glued them back on.  Now, my dolphin is just broke. And someone is going to be sad they didn’t tell me when it happened.  If I can narrow down who did it.

She still takes a pretty picture.
