Simplify My Life! and yours! Win a HP Mini 110-1100!

Posted by Heather Manning On December - 27 - 2009

HP1

I want to win the HP Mini 110-1100 by Studio Tord Boontje with Windows® 7 Home Premium. It’s going to make my life easier! It’ll change diapers, give baths, dress the kids, cook dinner (breakfast and lunch I MIGHT be able to manage.), feed the gerbil and the parakeet, clean their cages, vacuum the floors, wash the dishes, clean the toilets, do the laundry AND put it away (we’ll let Pato keep on ironing for himself, wouldn’t want to overload the poor thing!), get the oldest 2 dressed and on the bus, and even make me a Starbucks frappucino……..hold on, someone is trying to tell me something.

Blushing What do you mean it won’t do all that? Are you sure? Not even wash the toilets?

Ok, I’m back. Sorry for that interruption!

Well, if can’t do all that, it still can simplify my life by helping me stay organized when on the go (I live by my Google Calendar and I haven’t found a way to sync it to my Blackberry), tasks that don’t require the Internet can be done while sitting at soccer practice, although, I think my Blackberry has Wifi, so I might even be able to take care of business at soccer practice, you know between the youngest 2 kids begging for me to pushing them on the swings and keeping rocks out of Christiano’s mouth, when I want a recipe, I could take it to the kitchen instead of printing out every recipe I want to try and stashing it in a messy drawer in the kitchen (told you it would help me cook dinner!). It would fit in my purse so I could take it to doctor’s appointments and keep on working (my DR has wi-fi, ain’t he great?). That is something that should only be attempted at my own DR’s appointments when I’m by myself, because if I do at the kids appointments, Christiano will pull all of the Kleenexes out of the boxes and empty the 5 gallon water cooler in no time flat with Alyce’s help. And it’ll help me find that Starbucks to get my mocha frappucino! I’m directional dyslexic. Dear Abby told me so.  I could even jam to music in my bathroom when I lock myself in to hide from the kids.

When I’m not on it, I might even be willing to set it up next to me on my desk and let my kids play their Webkinz on it. Maybe. If they beg are good. Really good, because mama don’t share her electronics well, ask daddy.

Plus, it’ll make me look cool. And the good Lord knows that I need all the help I can in that department these days. I keep telling me kids I used to be cool. Then I had them. They don’t believe me about the cool part too much.  Seriously, look at that thing!  It’s stylin’. It’d be the only fashion accessory I need, which is good because I don’t spend much on fashion accessories these days – that whole 4 kids thing and all thing.

HP-2

Ok, so they are giving away 3 of these nifty computers to people who blog about it right? Guess what else! Anyone who comments on my blog is entered to win one also! That’s 6 HPs they are giving away. 3 to the bloggers and 1 to 3 random commenters on the blogs who entered. So, make sure you leave me a comment here, you’ll be entered to win if I win (or even if I don’t win), you know you really want me to win right? You do, I’m telling you, you do. I know, you really probably only care about me winning if by chance your comment is chosen to win too, but we’ll pretend like you really do care if I win or not. It’s better for my ego. And my ego is fragile.

Hey! While you’re here! I need some more Google Friends —->

Over there, to the right. I follow back. Promise!  Another thing I could do  on the HP! Read all my friends blogs and find new ones to follow!  I could follow you all around my house.  Not being tied to my desktop?  So much simpler!

Now that you know how to enter this giveaway, head on over to my other blog and find more to enter!

ETA This will end on January 20, 2010 at midnight ET and they will draw winners on January 29.  Go here to see official rules of the giveaway.

I know a HP Mini would make all the difference with me also, while I am at home or on the go. I can quickly get to my photos and files, take notes, send a letter off to family, able to work on my scrapbooks while sitting and waiting for the kids at band or dance practice, very lightweight to take with me on the go.

Wow, A Mini HP would be great. It would come in handy. I could take it with me and use it as I needed it without having to lug my laptop around.

  4. cwf says:

Something this small would be really convenient for me since I need a computer for work and it is light enough to take on the bus every day. I could check e-mails & bills on the commute. My old laptop was actually stolen recently so I would love a new one! Good luck!

  5. belle says:

I love Tord Boontje! His lacy papercut designs are super cool, I love the way they blend old fashioned craft with modern technology. Obviously, this new collaboration with HP is a great example… I’d love to try the HP Mini even though I am usually a Mac girl!

How cool! I know we could definatly use one of those in this house. I have a 14 yr old hogging my computer whenever he has schoolwork to do. This would make both of our lives easier LOL!

A HP Mini 110 would simplify my life by allowing me to keep up with all of my computer activities (blogging, emailing, entering contests, social networking, surfing the Internet, etc.) when I’m not able to be on my laptop (which just so happens to be a HP) for whatever reason. With 4 kids, the reason I’m not able to be on my laptop could be anything! :O

  15. Tammy says:

My husband would love this and keep him out of my hair to use the computer all the time.

This HP 100 Mini netbook would be a blessing to our family, too, as we only have one old desktop to share amongst our family of 7. We rely heavily on spreadsheets, lists, email and schedules, etc. to streamline our day to day activities, and the portability of the HP 100 mini would make it so effortless and stylish. Plus, mobile computing would be perfect to pass the time–when time stands still–like when waiting in a doctor’s office!

    Good Luck!

  25. The size and weight of the beautiful HP Mini 110-1100 by Studio Tord Boontje would make it perfect for on-the-go computing. I would also be able to easily take it around the house and out to the back yard.

Although I haven’t had the opportunity to try Windows 7, from the reviews I’ve read, it’s perfect for on-the-go tasks, and I would love the chance to see for myself what else it can do.

I was planning on buying a HP mini series. But if i win this there wont be a need to buy one.
@moderator: When will this contest end?

  33. Deb Anderson says:

A mini would definitely simplify my life because I wouldn’t have to lug around that big heavy laptop anymore!! And it would fit inside my handbag instead of being so conspicuous in a carry around laptop bag. And besides, you don’t always want to carry your laptop with you but leaving it in the car is a direct invitation to thieves to break in and steal it. Being able to carry it in my purse is a major advantage! Great giveaway!

  34. Andrea H says:

I too am stuck at my desktop for blogging and just being online. I would love to have a mini to make it easier for me to get things accomplished. Good luck to you!

  35. Annette D says:

  39. Crystal Warren says:

I’ve read some reviews of the HP for the Boontje but yours have to be the funniest so far…I’d even buy one instead of trying to win one if it did all those things!..oh well we can just hope the future turns out to be just like the Jetsons! Hope you win. I really do..do you feel better now. and I hope your coolness factor rises when you carry it around!

I can sure see where this would be a boon to keeping me running in the right direction! But I am disappointed that it does not change diapers! lol I keep adding to my list of things to do and have a harder time keeping track of them. I have 9 adult children and 27+ grandchildren & I do a lot of traveling to visit and/or babysit for them. Plus I am involved in several group activities, church functions, and volunteer work and trying to figure out how to find $$ and time for everything! Whew! I am tired thinking of it all! This would be wonderful to have! (Still don’t like those messy diapers!!)
