The 24/7 Mom

Well, it’s officially that time of year.  I had to take Kat to the DR on Monday for a cough that left her gasping at night for air.  She was back on her nebulizer and they gave her prednisone and a codeine cough medicine.  Her she is taking a nebulizer treatment – not the greatest pic, I snapped it with my cell phone –

Is that not the saddest little face?  She’s had to have her nebulizer when she is sick since she was 9 months old with pneumonia.  At least she doesn’t cry the whole time she’s using it now that she’s older.  She just cried when she has to take the cough medicine.  I forgot to get it flavored and I guess it tastes bad.

Jordan started coughing yesterday.  Alyce started coughing last night and she sounds worse than any of them.  Her’s sounds like it’s in her chest.  That real deep cough that sounds like a seal.  And I’ve been hacking up a lung now for a couple of days.  It’s getting old. 

Here’s to everyone being healthy by Tuesday.  We’re supposed to leave Tuesday night to spend Thanksgiving in Ohio before his mom goes back to Mexico.  I am not thrilled because I’ll have to Black Friday shop in Ohio, but it’s better than not shopping period.  Plus, instead of a nice turkey dinner my family makes, I’ll be having enchiladas, which are great, just not my idea of Thanksgiving dinner.  Oh well.  And so it is.

Anyone else stoked that New Moon opens up tonight?  I bought our tickets 2 weeks ago.  I’m going with my mom, sister, sister in law, and my niece.  Jordan is mad that my niece gets to go and he doesn’t, but like I told him, I don’t have to get Tay up for school tomorrow.  I have to get him up.  He can either wait for the DVD or maybe we can go as a family later.  I don’t think I’ll mind seeing it twice in the theater.  I’m more excited than a golfer sifting through a Myrtle beach golf packages.  (How smooth was that?)  Pato was going to grab me an Edward shirt at Walmart last night, but they didn’t have any.  I’m thinking about packing up the kids and going to Hot Topic to get something to wear, but that wouldn’t be nice when Alyce is feeling miserable, would it?

Let me tell you how dedicated my mom is.  Somehow she fell off a treadmill last night and had to be taken by ambulance to the ER.  This is scary to our family because of the condition of my mom’s back.  (Bulging and herniated discs up and down her spine.)  She hurt her hamstring.  My dad said, I guess this means you won’t be going tomorrow night.  She said, oh I’m going.  The girls can help me get in and out.  You go mom!
