Someone needs to …

Posted by Heather Manning On September - 3 - 2009

email me every day and tell me to blog.  Man, I got out of the habit when my computer went to the repair man and now, look at me.  I love to blog, so tell me why it’s been so long?  It should be daily again.

I’ve got a 3 layouts I’ve done.  Trying to get my mojo back.  LOL  Actually, I’ve started on a collab with 2 fabulous women and another one is in the works, plus I have a guest spot in a store coming up here on the 15th.  Trying to get all that settled while my beautiful child is teething.

Here’s one of Christiano.

Like I said, Christiano has been teething and last week he was a complete and total mess.  He got his 6 month shots and that combined with the two bottom teeth giving him trouble, his whole world was falling apart.  Or, so you would think from his behavior.  Poor baby.

My little guy is a toad though.  At 6 months he is now 19 lbs 11 1/2 oz (he did slow down a little on gaining weight) and 29 3/4 in long.  My girls weighed that at 1.  I remember because they weren’t 20 lbs and I couldn’t turn their car seat around.

I need to charge my camera battery to get the pictures off of it from soccer practice the other night, but here are 2 pics I took on my phone of him –

Ok, I might be biased, but is he not the cutest little thing?  I just adore him.  He’s been up on all 4′s for about 3 weeks now, rocking back and forth, not crawling yet.  He does get anywhere he wants to go this way though.  He rocks, rocks, then shoves himself forward to fall on his face.  Then he gets back up and does it all again.  He is also using rolling and pulling himself by his hands to follow the kids around.  He thinks if they can go somewhere, he can too.  Nothing stopping him now.

I just want to give him a kiss.  Not right this second though.  Pato just got him back to sleep, Christiano was up at 4 this morning ready to play with mama.  Couldn’t go back to bed because the kids need woken up at 7 for school.

I’m waiting for my older 2 to get used to school, otherwise I’m going to start looking for some travel deals.  I told my mom last night while my older 2 were fighting/not doing what they were supposed to do that I needed a vacation, without children.  ROFL  On the Ohio front, notice we never went?  Pato’s mom just got to Ohio the other day finally.  I am not sure exactly what happened, but it had to do with his dad’s pension or something similar to that.  The paperwork needed to be taken care of since he passed, and I’m still not sure why it hasn’t been done before this summer.  I don’t think we’re going up there now that the kids are both in school, but I have heard rumor that my mother in law is planning a trip to Iowa before she goes back home.  Maybe she needs the travel deals?

On that note, I need to get the older 2 up and in the shower.

Have a wonderful day and let’s get me in the habit of blogging every morning again, shall we?  TTYL!

Did I share?

cuz I was sure excited about it.  I’ve been losing weight, no idea how much.  I didn’t even need one of the best weight loss pills to do it.  I think my kids just run me ragged.

We were going somewhere, and I was looking for shorts.  Pato said, how about these, pulling them out of my bottom drawer where I shove things that don’t fit, but really it isn’t SOOOO unrealistic, me thinking I might wear them again someday.  (That means I can almost get them over my butt if I lay at just the right angle on the bed.  They give me hope.  LOL)  I said, no, those don’t fit me yet.  So, he threw them back in my drawer.

A few days later, I was looking for shorts again.  Looked at that drawer.  Opened it.  Pulled out the shorts.  Thought about the blow my self esteem would take when I couldn’t get them over one thigh.  Sighed.  Tried them on anyway.  They were loose.  Like, I could pull them off without unbuttoning them.  Like, I need a belt or they start falling down my hips and once they pass the hips, it’s a compromising situation.   I was so happy.  I haven’t worn those jean shorts since before I had Kat.  Yippie!

What to do ..

Posted by Heather Manning On September - 3 - 2009

when there is too much stuff?

Jordan has a small tv in his room.  It’s not hooked up to cable, just able to use it for his playstation and those other games you hook up to the TV.  Kat has my old 32 in. clunker of a LCD TV that I refuse to get rid of.  Her’s is the same set up, only games.  Now, I got an old computer off of ReUseIt (similar to Freecycle, but our community changed to ReUseIt, saying Freecycle was getting to be too much like the corporate businesses and losing touch with why it started.).  It’s an old HP, running Windows 98.  It can hook up to the internet and it came with like 30 kids games.  Jordan has his own computer, I thought this old one would be nice so my girls get as far away from my computer as possible.  Where to put though?  I think I need to take the TV off of Kat’s dresser and put the computer there, but then were do I put the TV?

I’m a packrat.  I’ll admit it.  I could ReUseIt, but I don’t have a TV in my bedroom.  Don’t I need it in there?  Problem is, where do I put it?
