Me thinks I did. Not really.
Well, kinda.
Have I mentioned yet that my desktop got back from the repair guy and still didn’t work? We had the brilliant idea of taking it into Jordan’s room and plugging it into his little monitor. It worked. So here I’ve gone more than a month without being able to work and it wasn’t my computer at all. Well, I moaned about this on Facebook the other day and one of my good friends from school who now lives in Wyoming told me she had a 19 in flat screen laying around collecting dust and if I wanted to pay shipping and handling it was all mine.
I promptly wrote out a check and asked Pato to mail it. He had me put it in his bag he takes to the gym and promptly forgot it was in there. I got into it the other day for some reason and there was the envelope. After a serious butt chewing because my CF card is running out of room for pictures and I need to put them on my EHD and computer he mailed it out 3 days ago. So, the monitor should be here soon and I can get back to work. I’ve missed designing and scrapping so much. You don’t even know. I’m still on my laptop that Alyce has now broken the Q, K, 8, F9, and 0 off of. GRRRR. My own fault for leaving it open. I should know better.
On the plus side, my place has never sparkled like this before. LOL Instead of mopping once a week, I’ve been mopping the floors every other day, vacuuming 2 times a day, dusting, then using Old English on cabinets and other wood things I can find. That may actually be the reason Pato “forgot” to mail the check. ROFL
Other than that, since the kids have been helping out more, I’ve been letting them have friends over as a reward. Katiana’s best friend was here the other day, their cousin Taylor has spent the night twice this week, it’s been a little chaotic. Me, on my new obsessive can’t have anything out of place cleaning spree, I’ve been following everyone around giving reminders about things that need picked up, washing off glass rings on the table every 5 minutes. Seriously, something is wrong with me. LOL
School starts on August 19 this year. That is about 10 days before they usually go back. Kind of makes me mad because it cuts into the state fair time and we always go a few times when they open.
Well, that was a bomb shell again. Pato just told me his mom is coming up August 8. This is getting old. Really old. First she was coming up in June. Then July. Then August 7. Then August 10. When he said August 10, I said no. Kat’s going to kindergarten this year and I’m not going to keep her out of school the first few days of the first year of school for her. Now it’s the 8th. So he thinks we can go to Ohio on the 8th. Spend 5 days, then turn around and drive home. That I’ll be able to get the kids on a school schedule and get school shopping done (I have it allotted from my check on the 8th.) all by the 19th. I may scream. Pick a day and stick to it please.
Speaking of Pato, have I ever told you how he likes to sneak up on me? I really need to install alarm systems around the house. Tonight I was out on the porch reading my Kindle and he snuck around the side and just about gave me a heart attack. I literally screamed. Probably woke up all of the neighbors. He’s such a butt. More so right this second since I just told him that Ohio is almost an impossibility. He’s not happy with me. I should probably sign off and go talk to him.
Have a great day/evening!

Oh lordy girl. Come on down here. It’s only slightly less chaotic. hehe Nick about gave me a heart attack yesterday. I go to open the front door to let in fresh air (with only 1 eye open BTW) & Nick’s on the other side, opening the screen door. Oh yeah, I screamed. Had to sit down. Call me when you can chick! MWAHS
I had to laugh about your cleaning phase … I live in constant fear that my family is going to sabotage my computer in some way, shape or form, in the hopes that I’ll return to the land of the living and cook something.
Heather love, you are a HOOT girl! I was following your lack of computer for a while on FB and am SOOO happy to hear that it was just the monitor and that you’ve got an EASY fix! WOOT! YAY!!!
OMGosh! I SO hear you on the housecleaning. I am NOT supposed to be on this weekend so as to devote it to prepping for my daughter and SIL’s visit on Friday! SO, I’m leaving some LOVE out and about and then down to business!!!
Wishing you a relaxing weekend and that ALL goes smoothly for Back-to-School, and your MIL’s visit!
