I made it as soon as Miki showed us the kit, but I had to wait until it was in the store to show it to everyone. I love how this came out! And her kit name is what inspired me. It’s called Joy. Now, there’s a saga behind my poor tumber before I show it to you. The old insert was stuck. You see, it says do not put in the dishwasher, and Pato did. It didn’t appear to do any damage, so what do I do? Continue to put it in. The paper was stuck to the inside of the glass. So, I all brilliantly take a butter knife up there trying to loosen it. After scratching it up, I definitely loosened something. The whole outside of the glass popped off.
I love me my tumber and I wasn’t about to toss it when our Starbucks doesn’t have any more, so I got out my handy dandy glue gun that fixes everything from kid’s stuffed animals that have ripped at the seam to my tumbler. If it’s broke, it gets hot glued. So, that is what you see at the top of the glass.
It’s still cute right? LOL But, I do love love love how the insert came out. I had to change it out. We have Christiano now and he wasn’t getting his proper cuteness due on the side of my glass. Plus, Alyce was like 1 in the first one.
You can check out Miki’s kit – Joy – here. The only other thing I used on it was my own Pop That Color PSP Script which is fast turning into my favorite script! Oh, I also used my tumbler template that is free in my store.
Want to see something cool? (I don’t eat them, but even I had to admire them)
I prefer my mushrooms out of a can, but the rest of my family loves Morel’s. And I guess now is a good time to find them in Iowa. Josh didn’t sound like he grabbed all of them when I told him that’s a crap load of mushrooms after he sent me the picture. LOL
There’s my baby brother with his treasures. ROFL Do they normally come that big? I swear they don’t. But, I’ve only seen them floating in my parents’s sink after they have gone mushroom hunting. I don’t do hunting of any type. Too many bugs. Not doing ticks, mosquitos, or poison ivy pretty much keeps me out of the great woodsy areas. I’m the big let down in my family during mushroom season. Let’s go mushroom hunting! Let’s not. ROFL
I think my parents get back from Washington tomorrow night. I’m so excited. I’m going through mama withdrawal. I guess everyone up there thinks it’s sweet that I call my mom everytime one of the children so much as sneezes. No, just kidding. I just have an awesome relationship with her. She’s my best friend and when she’s gone I feel like I’m missing something. So, I call and bug her the whole time.
Alright, I have to get these 2 up and ready for school. Can I say yay! Kat’s last day is Friday! Jordan’s last day is June 5. And their last soccer games are June 6. A little sleeping in time I have scheduled on the calendar for June 7. Then I think we’re off to Ohio later in the month. Pato’s mom is coming up sometime in June. Road trip. Not looking forward to Christiano in his car seat for 13 hours, but what do you do?
Have a great day!
