Finally, a couple of pictures of Christiano.
Not the best photo session yesterday. He was cranky, not feeling good. And let me tell you, you tell a 5 week old to smile for the camera – they don’t do it. Plus, he wiggles, so I was getting some funky shots of his face. Then he got mad and was crying. So, here are the best 2 shots of my little bubba.
Don’t tell me mama don’t got good milk. Look at those cheeks and that double chin he’s got going on. LOL
Do you not love his hair? Pato likes to give him a mohawk when he is fresh out of the bath, then it sticks straight up all over his head until the next bath, where I brush it down, and Pato insists on manipulating it back into a mohawk.
As much as I was hoping this one would have blue eyes like Alyce, me thinks his eyes are even darker than Katiana’s. Really, there’s not a big difference between his pupil and his eye color. And his hair, you can’t see it here, but in the bright light, it’s got a reddish tint to it. Not sure which side of the family that comes from. No red heads on either side that I know of. All I know is I love him to pieces. I remember how much I was panicking when I found out I was having him, and how long it took me to come to terms with the fact that I was going to have another one. Now, I can’t imagine my life without that little chubby face.
He’s started to smile – though the first few days I was a little irritated that he saved those smiles for daddy. But, he’s started doing them for me now and he “talks to me” now. And on the smiles, the other day we picked Kat up from school, she leaned over his car seat, and he just grinned up at her. She has not been that excited in a long time. He likes me mom! Well, of course he does. LOL
Last night Kat had soccer practice. It was a make up for Tuesday’s practice because it was too cold. I didn’t get to take any pictures because Christian woke up and I ended up nursing him in the car the whole time. That and talking to Blythe on the phone. I’m such a mean mommy, I was telling her how I had called my mom while feeding Christian, then took it away from him so he’d make those little piggy snorting sounds on my mom’s voice mail. Had to prove he was sick. Blythe said, only a mom with multiple kids. LOL Kat did really good at practice though. I did manage to keep one eye on her.
We got home at about 6:45, and once again, Christian didn’t want to be put down. The poor kids. I didn’t even get supper STARTED until 7:30, and that was only because Jordan held Christiano right beside me so I could roll out the pizza dough. Then I held him nursing while trying to get the meat cooked, spread over the dough, and cheese on top. Christian was covered in cheese by the time the pizza went in the oven. Took me til 8:30 to get supper on the table. My children thought they might die of starvation by the time it got to them, never mind the fact that I threw them each a cheese stick to tide them over until it was done, and that I had taken granola bars to soccer with us because I knew supper was going to be late.
I don’t know if you saw this in my sidebar, but I put a blinkie up for a little boy who has autism. His parents can’t afford his treatments and they live in a country with no health insurance. Kitty has a link to a blog post explaining it better in the store description. It’s a beautiful kit and the funds are going to this little boy. I didn’t contribute to the kit, but it just touched my heart so I had to pass it on.
In honor of a special little boy w/autism, check out World Of Wonder – available at O Scraps during April.
Alrighty, I’m going to go lay Christian down, hope he stays asleep, and then get some dishes done, and hopefully some work done.
Have a great day!
