I’m telling you, this child is holding on for dear life. 

My last appointment was on Wed.  I had lost another 1/2 pound and my doctor said, those contractions really burn calories don’t they?  yeah, go to – never mind, this is a family blog.  I’ve lost all of my humor at this point.

I’m still at 3 1/2 and 80% effaced.

He stripped my membranes.  When they did that at 37 weeks, it was a couple of swipes.  I swear my OB this time thought he was the roto rooter.

He said if that didn’t send me into labor that he’d try to get me  the induction schedule for Friday.  Yeah, well, it’s Saturday and no baby.  Meaning, there was no room on the schedule.  I’m scheduled to be induced on Tuesday morning if Christiano doesn’t come out on his own by then. 

I’ve tried everything.  Red raspberry leaf tea, evening primrose oil, walking, stairs, Mexican food, hot Asian food, pineapple, cumin tea, um, marital relations – which that ain’t happening again.  LOL  All that did was give me more contractions that went no where.  May I say that cumin tea, even with sugar and honey is revolting.  I drank 2 cups of that and that was enough for me.

Since last time I was in the hospital they told me that even though I’m having contractions, his head isn’t engaged, which is most likely why I’m not dilating (he’s not pushing down), I’ve even been doing squats every day whenever I think about them. 

Yesterday we went out for Chinese and this lady came up to me and said, when ARE you due?  I said, today.  She said, oh honey, I told my mom when you walked in, she has to be so miserable.  Ya think? 

Like I’ve said, if I wasn’t having contractions, I would be fine with being overdue.  Yesterday was horrible.  I actually called my doctor and they told me I should come in and be hooked up to the non-stress test to measure the contractions again.  I said, I’ll just wait and see if they get stronger.  I had contractions from 9 AM to 5 Am this morning, every 2 minutes, and then they stopped at about 5 and I got some sleep finally. 

I’ve turned into evil cranky crabby mommy.  My children are pretty much tip toeing around me.  LOL  Cept for Alyce who thinks she can still hop up in my lap like always, which would be great if I wasn’t having contractions while she put pressure on my stomach.

I give up, Christiano wins.  He has more endurance than I do.  That’s just all there is to it.

Jordan’s 10th birthday is Monday.  Think that’s what Christiano is waiting for?  He wants the same bday as his big brother?  I got him a generic Flip video camera.  (He’s lost so many things, I want to see that he’ll take care of this $40 camera before I buy him one that is over $100.)  He really wants a video camera for some reason though.  I got him a 2 GB memory card to go with it, and I’m going to give him one of my flash memory sticks because his notebook computer doesn’t have a lot of space on it.  It’s that little EEE PC that I got him last year for his birthday.

I’m wondering how safe it would be to teach him how to upload his videos to You Tube so that he has more room once they are uploaded.  I know how to do parental controls on my Windows based computers, but his is Linux.  I’ll have to play around with it so he can’t get any of the nasty videos on there if I do let him do it that way. 

That’s it.  Christiano is waiting for Jordan to get his new video camera so he can be the star of the show!  Pato finally got his video camera back too.  He left it in Mexico.  His youngest sister brought it up with her when she visited his sister in Ohio, and his sister in Ohio finally got it mailed to us.  I haven’t even looked at the video that he took while he was in Mexico.  I should do that one of these days now that we have it back. 

Hopefully next time I update it will be with baby pictures.  )
