I haven’t blogged in awhile. Just haven’t felt like it.
But I’ve had a lot of false alarms in the contractions department. A week ago last Wednesday, I started having them every 2 minutes, about 60 seconds in length, had to breathe through them. Called my doctor, off to the hospital we went.
They started an IV right away, sure I was in active labor. I was dilated to 3, effaced to 50%. Walked probably 200 laps at the hospital with tears streaming down my face. Took a whirl pool, sat on the exercise ball, 6 hours later, no progress. The doctor came in and stripped my membranes, told me if I was 2 days further along (I was 36 weeks 5 days) that they would be able to break my water and help me along, but because I wasn’t, they had to let me progress naturally.
They came in and told me the doctor said I could either have morphine for the pain and be knocked out or go home and labor. I shocked everyone by choosing to come home. I’d rather be where I could shower, eat, etc. Came home, walked the halls, up and down stairs. My contractions were just fast and furious, but no progress. I called at 9 PM and asked if I could change my mind on the morphine. So, I went back in and they gave me morphine and ambien and knocked me out for the night. I got up in the morning and the contractions had stopped. So, I went home.
Friday, I had a great day, finished up baby shopping. Came home, went to lay down, Katiana tried to “hop” over me and fell all her weight on the side of my stomach (I was laying on my side.). My stomach started burning, and then the contractions started again, one on top of the other, no letting up. So, back we went to the hospital because they wanted to check my placenta. Different doctor this time. He was talking about stopping the contractions. I looked at the nurse and I said, if he wants to induce me, fine. If he wants to break my water, fine. No stopping them, and no more morphine. (I had felt like crap all day Thursday after the morphine Wednesday night.) The tech came in to do the ultrasound, placenta still attached to the wall. That’s good. After a few more hours, the contractions eased on their own. So home, we went.
Flash forward to Monday, this week – Alyce had to go to the Dr. Another ear infeciton. Tuesday, Jordan started throwing up. Wednesday, Kat started throwing up. Can you see where this is going? Wednesday night I started throwing up through Thursday. Horrible stomach flu bug that only lasted 24 hours thank goodness.
Last night I went out with my parents (why do people feel they can randomly come up and touch your big ol’ pregnant belly in a bathroom?), and I started having cramping in my back. When I got home, the contractions were again every 2 minutes apart and 60 seconds in length. Pato was watching my stomach because you could literally watch them as they happened. I guess that was amusing on his part. I didn’t even bother calling. I just breathed and then took 2 Tylenol PM and they stopped going hard at about 3 this morning, I’m still having little ones, but more like braxton hicks right now.
I am now 13 days away from my due date and just tired of it. It reminds me of Katiana where I started having regular contractions at 39 weeks, but no progress, they ended up inducing me at 41 weeks with her.
If this keeps up, I’ll have to start a search to compare life insurance, because I don’t think I’m going to make it through this. LOL Ok, I’m a tad bit melodramatic. I’m just tired.
Yesterday, I finally got my ADSR #9 done. I didn’t think I was going to after all the sickness in my house this week. Kristi did number 10, which thank goodness was a roadblock and only one partner had to do it.
For 9 we had to scrap a page with at least 2 generations, and use lace, metal, something old, this is why I came up with. Not really a heritage layout because I don’t have any old pictures, but I tried to make them look old using my 50′s again PSP Script.
Then I didn’t post my layout for the ADSR #8. I think this is my favorite one I’ve done so far. We had to lift someone’s layout that we think is a star scrapper. It had to include stars and the word dream.
Isn’t it gorgeous?
And here is mine –
On this one I used my Soft Wash PSP Script and the rest of the credits are here.
So, at least the ADSR is keeping me semi productive. LOL
That’s it on my end. I’m hoping to have a baby here soon to show you!
Oh oh oh, I think my mom has told my aunts so I can share, we’re having another addition to the family. My sister’s daughter is no 5 months old, I’m due in 13 days, and my brother Josh’s wife, Shelly, just found out that Taylor and Carter will have a new sibling come September. I think my family is fertile. Thus the reason for tying my tubes after this. LOL
Have a wonderful day!
