So, who was brave enough to venture out yesterday?
My lord. Walmart was crazy. I left here at 4:00, stopped and got a cappuccino. Then headed to Walmart. I got there at 4:30. There was already lines stretched from the front of the store to the back and there was caution tape up around the specials.
Waited until 5 when they let us in. And I’m really suprised that I didn’t need an acne treatment this morning from stress zits popping up all over.
It was horrible. You couldn’t get through with a cart really. People were pushing and pulling and running carts into each other. My big old stomach just happens to be right at cart height and I was starting to worry about the baby. I was hit from behind so many times hard enough to ram my stomach into my cart and my cart into the person in front of me. At one point one lady was like, I need to get through. I snapped at her, we all want to get through, get back in line.
After finally getting the few things for the kids I wanted, I went to the check out where I stood in line for an hour and fifteen minutes, just to check out. That was crazy.
Then I pulled myself together and went to ToysRUs to get the rest of the presents on my list for Alyce’s birthday on Tuesday. (Can you believe she is going to be 2 already???) That wasn’t as bad. People were more considerate there. And to check out, I only had to wait 48 minutes. Then I got in the car and came home. Woke Pato up and said, your turn. (with the kids) I went back to sleep until 1 or so. But, Alyce’s birthday shopping is done. Christmas shopping is done. Now we just have to get the tree up. Next week some time. Maybe after Alyce’s birthday.
