Not Everyone's Mama

First, I have to say thank you to everyone who voted for me in the Wacom Pen Scrappers contest!  I came in runner up!  And thank you to everyone who has already emailed me congratulations!  I was so excited!

So, my medium Bamboo Fun Tablet in white got here last night!  Woohoo!  Just in time because I was going crazy.  Alyce bit the grip off of my graphire tablet pen and then, I do believe she ate the buttons.  Then she ripped out the nib.  She had a whole lot of fun with it.  Can we all say it at once, Heather, never forget to put your new pen up. 

I couldn’t design, I couldn’t scrap because a lot of my work involves extracting, and while extracting with a mouse is possible, I’ve done it for a long time, my mouse was having sticky button problems and to get the left click to work, you had to bang on it hard.  Not conducive to designing at all.  Now I just have to get used to the feel of the bamboo pen and tablet.  It does feel different than my graphire.  Not as slick and the buttons are a little higher up.  Plus, there’s a touch pad for scrolling instead of the little wheel on the tablet like the graphire had.

All in all, I am so excited!

And I gave Jordan my graphire tablet and mouse, he didn’t mind the sticky buttons I guess.  We’re going to see if it works on his laptop, though I’m not sure it will work with a LINUX system.  We’ll give it a go though.

So, my baby turns 2 in 12 days.  Can you believe it?  Time to have another one I guess.  Oh, wait, I forgot, I already am.  ROFL  I posted a thread at DST about it, but she is the hardest little person to shop for.  All she likes is babies.  Well, she also likes Jordan’s gameboy, but that just makes him mad.

I think Alyce would LOVE that.  So, I called ToysRUs here and they had 16 of them.  I’ve been waiting to cash out the $$ I’m making on ChaCha so I have it all for black Friday.  Now my dilemma is, do I go ahead and cash it out now and run over and get it, or do I still wait until black Friday and hope they have some sort of sale on Fisher Price toys? 

Another suggestion was a shopping cart and that is something I think Alyce would love to have too.  We have 3 strollers.  Yes, I know, it’s extreme, but she loves pushing her babies around in the strollers. 

She doesn’t watch TV at all.  Her choice, not mine, Lord knows the other 2 watch too much TV.  LOL  So, I’m not going to get her movies.  I say if she doesn’t want to watch TV, I’m not going to push it on her.

Books would be good.  She loves to read.  Not such a fan of being read to.  She’ll rip the book out of your hands and tell you no, then go back to reading herself.  LOL 

Other than that, I’m just going to hit the Black Friday sales at Walmart and see what they have for her age.

For Christmas I already got her 2 of the smaller baby alive dolls (I wasn’t going to get the big one, that thing poops.  I’ve got enough diapers to change without changing the dolls diaper too.  ROFL) (This one is one of them), an Elmo digital camera, the Little People’s castle, and a Sesame Street Phone Center that she loved when I was shopping.  If I remember right, it annoyed me pretty bad though.  LOL  Mom says I don’t have to make it even for Christmas, but I want to.  I feel bad if I spend more on the other 2 than I do on her.  There toys are so much more expensive though.  Especially Jordan’s.  I guess we’ll see what Walmart and ToysRUs have on the day after Thanksgiving.
