Alyce has an eye for design

Posted by Heather Manning On July - 29 - 2008

So, I was outside taking pictures in a natural light the other day and Alyce decided she needed to design also.  So, she went and picked some leaves off of the bushes and arranged them just so –

We both realize this is not kit quality because the wind started to pick up when she decided to design and kind of was moving the leaves and they got kinda out of focus.  But, had I been able to get the picture just right before the wind moved her arrangement, this would have been the first addition to her first kit I guess.  LOL

She’s so cute.

Saturday went surprisingly well.  If you read my mom’s blog, you know that Kat called grandma and asked her to go to Taco Bell with us and she wasn’t even worried about not going skating!  We had so much fun.  Then when my brother dropped Jordan off we went out to mom and dad’s and attempted a campfire.  Which never happened.  It was too wet.  Then we went and got pizza and brought it back.  It was fun.

Sunday we went out to my brother’s for Taylor’s family birthday party.  The kids got caught in a downpour outside a couple of times.  The first time I had Jordan take his shirt off and hang it up to dry, the second time I said it’s time to go home, that time Katiana had gotten drenched too and I wasn’t having thing 1 and thing 2 running all over getting the carpet soaking wet.  Josh’s thing 1 could change her clothes.  My thing 1 (Jordan) kept saying, MOM – go home and get me a new shirt.  Um, no thank you. Maybe you should have come in the first 4 times Mom and Uncle Josh yelled at you to come in out of the rain.

Everyone had fun though.  Taylor loved her sewing machine I got her.

I got these after Christmas – one for Kat, Sydney, and Taylor on clearance.  (they were coming out with edition 2 of this)  Now, I’d love to tell you how it worked, BUT – I told Katiana to leave hers in the box until daddy got back from Mexico.  Obviously this is something I would have to do with her, and with 3 kids running around, I wanted daddy here to supervise the other 2 while I learned how to use this one with her.  So, I kept it put up.  One day, I walked into my bedroom and my oldest 2 had gotten out the sewing machine and had lost a lot of the pieces – thread was unraveled, needles lost (yes I found some of them), bobbins missing.  So, Katiana hasn’t gotten to use her sewing machine yet.  And won’t until I buy new stuff for it.  So, I’ll have to wait until the other 2 use theirs to let me know how it works I guess.  LOL

Today, I don’t think we have anything planned except for waiting for Pato to go out the door so I can sneak in my morning craving – a breakfast burrito from McDonald’s.  It’s the one thing I consistently crave.  With hot sauce.  Yummy.

He’s gone now, but he threatened to take my van – I told him oh uh uh.  He took something off of his car last night and forgot to put it back on?  I said, not my problem.  Go put it back on.  ROFL  He thinks I’m all antsy for my van because we are out of milk.  Yeah, that would have me putting up a fight.  Milk.  He says that breakfast burritos aren’t healthy and I shouldn’t eat so many.  I say, what he don’t know won’t hurt him.   It’ll probably make me gain a few extra pounds but I don’t plan on pulling out the women’s lingerie anytime soon.  ROFL  So, I’m good with it.  Really I am.  I need to sneak out and see if he is in the parking lot putting his car back together.  ROFL

Have a great day!

New cleansers I’ve been using.

So, I was getting grossed out by my nose.  And I’m embarrassed to admit that my youth was flashing back on me and I needed something for blackhead removal.  I know, I know, ew!  And who knew I’d blog about it, but I’m in love with some of St Ive’s products that are at least new to me.  I’ve been alternating between the Microderm Abrasion -

and the Olive Cleanser -

My face gets dry really easily, which is why I bought the Olive Cleanser to go along with the Microderm Abrasion.  I use the Abrasion at night and the Olive Cleanser in the morning, and something is working.  I think I’ve been using it for a couple of months now – you know to really test it out and my nose and cheeks look so much better.  I get these bumpies on my cheeks.  Not zits, just bumps.  I get them on my legs too, they don’t hurt, I just hate them.  And the ones on my cheeks have been diminishing since I started using this.  Can’t tell you if it’s one or both as I’m not willing to change it, but used in combination, these two products are awesome!!!

Plus, I got id’d at the casino the other day.  ROFL  I think that’s just good genes.  But, anything that keeps those wrinkles from appearing any more than they have to!
