Well, at least they didn’t until today. So wrong.
I think I’ve said how I’ve come to drink coffee, but if I didn’t here’s a recap. When I was younger, ok, younger as in – 18, 19, up to when my grandpa passed away, I never drank coffee unless I was at my grandparents. There I would sit with my grandpa early in the morning while everyone was sleeping and drink coffee with him. When my grandpa died, it must have been subconscious because I don’t remember ever making a conscious decision to drink coffee daily, I started drinking it every day. I realized after a few months what I was doing, and I figured it was my mind’s way of keeping that little piece of grandpa and me.
Now, first thing in the morning, I make my coffee and sit down and go through emails before the kids get up. It’s my little quiet time.
Know what happened this morning? I got up, made my coffee, started drinking it. It tasted horrible to me. This is my normal Dunkin’ Donuts coffee that I’ve been drinking ever since Kari’s husband informed me that it is so much better than the Starbucks coffee I’d been drinking. (I actually really do like it much better.) I made it like I always do, with 2 equals and my International Delights chocolate caramel creamer. And it was gross. I guess, this baby has decided that we don’t need coffee. What the heck? It prefers caffeine free diet mt dew. Which we are currently enjoying and tastes like the most wonderful liquid in the world right now. It’s ruining the taste of everything right now. Toast. That tastes good. Steak, I could eat that morning, noon, and night. That’s yummy too. But all my favorites? Fettuccini Alfredo from the Olive Garden? The thought of that just makes me ill. Weird child.
The races were fun last night. They were packed. Actually, they were fun til we were waiting and waiting for the ostriches. The camels had already run. And it just dragged on and on. Probably because we weren’t betting anymore. LOL There were no open benches. Well, we found one for my mom. Her poor back was killing her. Eventually, my lower back, knees and feet started killing me. I’m not sure if it’s the shoes I was wearing or not? Pato got me these adidas last week –
While I’m used to my old style adidas – the ones I have had for years and refused to replace. They are the ones like this – only with purple stripes.
So, since this was the first time that I wore my new shoes, that that is what made the difference? I’m used to the flat sole – foot of this one.
All I know is that I have not hurt like that in a long time. We went to Pato’s work on the way home, ate. Then came home. When we got here, I was begging him to put lotion on my feet. And he’s all, “I don’t want to.” And I said, we all have to do things we don’t want to do. ROFL Like the fact that I’m going to have to go through the pain of labor in 7 months to give you another child. I don’t want to go through pain. Oh, I was milking it. And he said, “What are you going to do for me?” WRONG QUESTION. I said, I’m going to grow you a whole new person bud. Top that. Now get the lotion out. ROFL So, he got out the massage oil that I bought on a whim at Victoria’s Secret, that we haven’t used yet. And no, this is not going to get nasty, I was too tired for it to get nasty. LOL He has the best hands when he wants to though. Swear, he massaged my calves for like 3 minutes and all the pain was gone. Buy me some travel insurance, because I was on my way to heaven. So much better. Than I crashed. He must have put the girls to bed. Because they were there when I got up. LOL
Wait, I started out that story because of the ostrich races we were waiting for. How funny are those??? Those things are just the funniest creatures when they are running. 1 of the jockey’s fell off as they got out of the gate. Another fell off down the stretch. ROFL I was trying to figure out if they had harnesses on those birds or if they were just holding on to feather’s for dear life? ROFL It was fun! As soon as it was over we packed up my kids and left.
Now today, I think Pato is off. At least, he’s still in bed. LOL Which is really unusual for a Saturday. I think if he stays off and doesn’t get called in, we’re going out to my parents. He let out a secret last night. He makes awesome fried breaded mushrooms. My mom and I were like what? After my ultrasound the other day we went to 8 restaurants looking for those. Came home and told him. Then he brings us a plate with the last 3 mushrooms he’d made on it. 3. how wrong. But he told mom if he was off today he’d make some for her. So, that seems to be what our plans are. LOL
Ok, I’m off! Have a wonderful day!

Have a fun (and pain-free I hope) day, hon! [hugs]
Oh you poor thing! Justin did that to me. I was all about my Mt Dew then, and I couldn’t stomach the taste of it. Cream soda was the only thing that didn’t make me sick. But I couldn’t eat meat. Noodles & taters, I could eat those all day long. But meat? nope. 2 bites & I was off & running. Oh lord, I remember we were all dressed up going to the Marine Corps Ball & we happened to drive by a Waffle House. Girl, I was literally DROOLING at the thought of hash browns. Nick just said “Oh HELL NO I am NOT going to Waffle House in my dress blues so YOU can get hash browns” He went out at 2 AM for Mc D’s fries with no salt tho. bwahahaha
Sweetie, if we were closer I’d take you out for a pedi. *great big huggles* Love ya’ll!!! *rub da Butterbean*
Yes, the camels were fun and the ostrichs were hilarious! I really enjoyed my time with you guys at PM, even though I whined about wanting to leave before the ostrichs ran. The food at Pato’s restaurant was great and the mushrooms were excellent. I’m so disappointed that he was called in to work. Not really, I know it helps every time he’s called in. We’ll have to plan our next fun outing soon! Mom
