Blech – what a night

Posted by Heather Manning On July - 10 - 2008

If I have another night like last night, buy some burial insurance because I am done.  Ok, that was dramatic.  LOL  Not really going to die.  But morning sickness turned to night sickness last night and it was not cool.  I’ll spare you the details, but me and my toilet, we’re now good friends again.

I really was starting to think that this was a boy because – I’ve made it 8 weeks with just nausea.  My girls made me sicker than a dog.  But, no this one had to stop cooperating last night and become just as naughty as the rest of them.

And everyone in my family thought last night was the perfect night to jump on my bed.  Including Pato – he wasn’t really jumping, but every time he moves it’s like he has to make the biggest movement that he can.  I was seriously ready to go sleep on the couch – if it wasn’t so far away from my bathroom.  (yes, there’s another bathroom, but I call that one Jordan’s, and I won’t use it.  LOL)

After rearranging the whole bed so that our head were at the bottom where our feet would go and switching sides with Pato (who now remembers what I’m like when I’m pregnant and isn’t so sure this is a good idea.  ROFL) so I could be right in front of the fan because I was really hot, I finally fell asleep.

4 more weeks to go til I’m out of the first trimester.  Let’s hope morning sickness dies with the 13th week starting.

I have my first appointment on the 15th.  Pato still doesn’t know if he’ll have the day off.  So, I’ve got mom backed up.  They said they would do an ultrasound that first visit (that’s new – I used to have to go across the street for my ultrasounds.) and she wants to see that.  Plus she can keep the kids out of the room for all that fun undressed stuff you go through that first visit.

Did  I tell you that my sister finally found out what she was having?  She had a 3-D ultrasound done since little peanut wouldn’t open their legs at the regular ultrasound.  It’s a girl!  Should have heard my mom screaming when Abby told her.  Seriously, I thought my dad had called to tell her they won the lottery.  ROFL  I was giggling.  Abby’s baby is grandbaby number 8.  Guess how many girls are in that 8?  6.  2 boys.  I’m like mom, seriously, it’s not like it’s the first girl.  ROFL  Just teasing mom!  It was so neat seeing your reaction!

My SIL and I have Abby’s baby shower planned for August 30.  I need to make invitations.  So, show me where the absolute cutest baby kit in pastels you can find is?  Love you forever!  I’m thinking I need to look at Mary Fran’s stuff.  But, if there’s something cuter, I’m open.  We also have a decided on making a diaper cake

And then in the Everyday with Rachael Ray magazine, they had this whole spread on baby shower foods and drinks this month.  It was awesome!  But, I think it would be more appropriate for a small baby shower.  Not one with like 40 + people as will probably show up for my sister’s first baby shower.  I’m not making kiwi virgin martini’s (or whatever she called them in her magazine) for all those people.  ROFL  But it looked so good.  I might pass the magazine on to my SIL and see if she thinks we can adapt any of the recipes for a large crowd.   Shelley is the arsty one in our family.  I’m good with the computer and making pretty things.  Hand me scissors and glue and I become a 5 year old all over again, making a mess.  LOL  Shelley turns everything she touches into gold.  You should see her wrap Christmas presents.

All righty.  That’s it from me for now!  Have a great day!

Sorry that you’re having so many issues with the morning sickness. Hopefully it will end at week 13. Don’t worry about your mojo, I’m sure that the baby is sucking that up too. lol. Nothing wrong with scripts. Maybe you can try some more CU stuff? I know I’m no help.

    Take care of you though!!!
