Guess what I got yesterday? My replacement income tax check. Did you see the heavens open up with a burst of light? Can you hear the angels singing Hallelujah? I just about dropped to my knees in the hallway when I opened the mail box. LOL Seriously, I did. All of us, sicker than dogs got in the car, put the money in the bank. Then we got quarters to do laundry. Which ended up not getting done. LOL
I came home really quick because Jordan gets off the bus at 4:10. I paid the internet bill online, the electric bill online. Then bundled the girls up, took Jordan to soccer. While he was there we went to the store and got a huge box of diapers and a big old package of wipes. Went back, held Alyce in the car while we watched Jordan finish up. Then we came home. Pato called, I told him about hearing the angels in the hallway. He said, huh? I got my income tax check. YAY! He was relieved too. And he understands why I don’t want to see his sister for a long time. Being lied too is not on my list of qualities I appreciate from friends and family, you know?
I feel so much less stressed with money in the checking account. You know? I am in serious need of some sort of acne treatment after these last few weeks. My poor cheeks are all broke out. I never broke out in high school. Maybe one pimple here and there. Now that I am 30? The tiniest bit of stress sends my face into turmoil add to the fact that I have my little visitor right now. Lord I’m pretty. ROFL
I got up at 3:45 this morning to lightening. I had the shade open a little bit with the window cracked and it was lightening out something fierce. I checked the weather on my phone (that sounds weird doesn’t it? LOL) and it said we were in the middle of a sever thunderstorm warning, so I stumbled out here and unplugged my computer. Then stood at the window and watched it come down until Katiana started crying over the thunder and woke up Alyce. Went back in, comforted them and went back to sleep. When I got up at 7, I hit snooze oh – 10 times. Got out of bed at 7:30. And here it is 8:07 and Jordan is just getting out of the shower. Alyce is back to sleep on the couch. That poor baby has been running a fever forever.
Oh my goodness you guys. You should see the folder of work that Jordan has to do. I completely understand cuz he missed a week of school, but I asked him when he got home, “Do you have make up work?” He said, not that much. I open up his book bag and it all just falls out. Not that much huh? I had him do 2 sheets last night. Tonight I told him he needs to get 3 of them done. My son’s concentration is not that great at the end of the day when the adderol has worn off. So, the 2 sheets were a battle. If I get him going right after school tonight, he should be able to get those done without much of a battle.
I’m hoping to get a few loads of laundry done today. I may have to wait until Jordan gets home if Alyce is still feeling the way she was the last few days or so. He’ll have to push the baskets down while I carry her or vice versa. If she’s feel better when she wakes up then she can walk down. She doesn’t walk much when she’s sick. LOL She prefers to be carried everywhere. You should actually see her try to walk when she’s sick. She’s so wobbly. And she’ll trip over the carpet. You know the stuff that’s been on the floor of apartment since we moved in 3 years ago and it really hasn’t changed locations? Usually when she’s like this and I see her trying to get from point A to point B, I’ll go offer her my finger so she can get where she wants to go with no falling. Poor baby. When she’s not sick, she runs now. I swear, normally she is really steady on her feet.
Ok, Jordan is out the door, both girls are sleeping, cancel that, Katiana is still sleeping. I’m going to hit the blog train and see if I can’t get some work done on this collab.

Have a wonderful day!!
