Not Everyone's Mama

LOL  Can you believe it?  2 pages this weekend.  Now, I know, I know, some of you can real out 2 pages in 2 hours and they come out beautiful, but I just can’t do them that fast.  My pages take me a few hours.  I start with one look and end up with something completely different.  I think I actually put on and take off like 100 elements before I’m done.  LOL

First, this one is revenge on brother in law.  He never lets me take pictures of him.  He never lets anyone take pictures of him.  LOL  So, I made this, zipped it up, emailed it to my sister.  I told her to print it out, frame it, and put it by his side of the bed so he can look at what he does to me everytime he opens his eyes.  LOL

From my own stuff I used my Old Edges frames.  And a lot of this is from my good friend/designer I CT for, Micheline Martin.  You can see the completely credits here.

Then, I know I know, I never got a picture of my hair cut up.  So, I took another self portrait.  And I might I say, my family thought I was incredibly strange.  I was at my parent’s house, they were eating dinner, and all of a sudden my sister looks up and said, Heather, what ARE you doing?  Taking a picture of my hair.  ROFL 

Again, I used my old edges, Wrap Me Baby, which is in my designer grab bag right now, and my new all about me brushes.  Again, used lots of stuff from Micheline Martin.  She is my go to folder when I start a layout.  LOL  The rest of the credits can be found here.

This was kind of a slow weekend for us.  Saturday we went birthday shopping for my sister at Old Navy.  I got him some really pretty jammas.  Pants and a tank top.  Silky.  Black.  I told her it’s to make her feel like she’s still sexy while she’s pregnant.  Cuz every woman needs something that makes them feel sexy when they feel huge.  LOL  Then we went out out to my parents’ house to eat with everyone.  (She called me yesterday and told me she can’t wear those pajamas unless she wants Justin all over here.  ROFL  Which must mean they work, right?  LOL)

Other than that, I had 2 sick girls.  Saturday started with Katiana complaining that her stomach hurt.  But, not enough to not go to grandma’s.  She wasn’t throwing up or anything, so I thought she’d be ok.  And she was until yesterday.  Yesterday her “brain” hurt.  (Headache, I’m assuming.), and she was crying that her tummy hurt.  And she wasn’t throwing up, but their were other unpleasant side effects that involved the bathroom.  I know, I know TMI.  And she must have shared this with Alyce.  Because she was cranky, and had the same issues that Katiana was having.  The one time she shares with her sister, it’s this.  Blech. 

She just got up and said, mommy mommy!  My brain and my tummy feel good!  Well, honey, that’s wonderful!  Let’s see how Alyce feels when she gets up.

Speaking of Alyce, someone asked me how to pronounce her name the other day.  So, I thought I’d share here too.  She’s named after my grandma – Mary Alyce.  Who everyone called Alyce but pronounced Alice.  Alyce’s name is Maria Alyce, we call her Alyce, but it’s pronounced uh-leese.  So, there you go.  LOL 

Well, a good friend told me that I should open up my designer grab bag to show you all what is inside.  She said, Heather, it’s pretty good!  Open it up!  So, I decided why not?

Also, I came out with some new brushes!  I love making All About Me pages.  And someday I’m going to get a lot of them done, have them put into a book at Shutterfly in a Book of Me, and then have a little thing of me for my kids to fight over some day when I’m gone.  LOL  So, I thought, I surely can’t be the only one looking for things to use in an All About Me page.

These come in Photoshop AND Paintshop Pro files AND they are also included in PNGs.  You have to size things down in Paintshop Pro to 999 pixels and in PS they can’t be bigger than 2500, so I left the originals in case you want them bigger.

I’m getting started late today.  We slept in until 9:30.  That was nice! 

ETA:  I know what I wanted to share with you today!  My mama is blogging!  She’s got a few posts done now.  She makes me cry.  So sweet.  She’s actually going through and dating them with actually dates that things happened because she is going to use it as journal of her pain and doctor’s appointments should she need to go to court with the workman’s compensation company.  But, there’s some stuff over there about my kids and I.  You should bookmark and see if she tells any of my secrets.  LOL  Swing over and tell my mom hi and welcome to blogging!  A Time To Learn

I was looking through my phone and found a few pictures that I thought were really cute and wanted to share.

This is Alyce on that carousal the second time around.  She wasn’t thrilled, but she wasn’t freaking out either.

Here’s Jordan on the carousel too.  Not great, I’m not sure why his was so small, I tried to resize it.  Not great quality.

This one is my favorite, it came out so much better than the other 2 pictures.

I’m thinking we might go to Old Navy today and see what they have for pants for Mr Jordan.  He’s getting taller and all those pants I just had hemmed up?  High waters.  I’m so glad he’s shooting up finally though.  He’s been the same height for a long time while kids around him are going through these huge growth spurts.  I can’t believe he is going to be 9 this month.  That’s just crazy!

Other than that, nothing much going on here right now.  I’m just waiting for Pato to give me the details on what we are going to do with going to Mexico.

It’s not actually an update on his dad.  It’s what I have overheard when I listen to him talking to his family, or little things he’s said.  He’s so confused.  He wants to go now.  But, when I heard him talk to his sister yesterday, he said he would probably leave in a month.  And then he told me that he is thinking about going down first, then sending the kids and I down on a plane when he gets back.  I’m all for a plane.

He tried to call his dad yesterday, but he had gone to Leon, GTO, Mexico for another doctor’s appointment.  I said, what for?  He said, another thing.  Another thing?  Another thing?  How can he have any more things on top of the things he has right now?  Aren’t those things enough?  Oh my lord.  That man is going through so much right now.  And I know how badly he wants to see Pato.

And may I say there is something about this whole situation that makes Pato feel like we should add more to the generation that we have already brought forth. Yes, he’s talking about a 4th one, just since this happened.  He wants a boy.  He wants to name it Juan Alberto after his dad.  I’m not sure if I’m quite ready for that.  We need a house.  There’s no way we can stick a 6th person in this apartment, no matter how small that person may start out being. 

On to other things, first, I would like to yell congratulations to my dear dear dear friend Blythe Evans!  Blythe and I go way way back to before scrapping.  We were pregnant with our almost 4 year olds together and met at Babyzone when we were about 5 weeks pregnant with them.

Why am I saying congrats to Blythe?  Well, miss thang has opened up her own store!  http://www.blytheevans.com How cool?  And it looks GORGEOUS girlfriend!  Makes me want to redesign my store all over again already.  LOL 

And know what she has up right now?  Her Big Ol’ Birthday Box!  I got a sneak peak and it is gorgeous and stuffed FULL!  Blythe is one of my favorite designers and her stuff is always a huge hit with me!  Her birthday is tomorrow, so swing by, get her box, and wish her a happy birthday!!!

ETA!  How could I forget??  My girl Kristine the wench also has her own store opening up today!!!!  You go girls!  Congrats to both of you!  The stores look beautiful!
